Susan moved to Manzanillo, Mexico in 1985 where she has ministered for 18 years. Initially, she came as a private teacher to a missionary family and later became involved in the local church and community ministry as an accountant, administrator, teacher, children’s director, and cell leader. Susan returned to the US for two years and served People That Care center as an administrative assistant. In 2007, Susan returned to Manzanillo to fulfill a 15-year vision of establishing a fully bilingual Christian school. Presently, she is primarily ministering in the Christian school. Seven years ago they began a K–12th grade school with 61 children. Today, they have over a hundred students and have built their own school. These past 7 years, she has seen real growth, academically and spiritually, as the students have found a safe place to be themselves and to share what God is speaking to them. Many have learned to trust God as they study as well as learn to be sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit. It’s a real joy to see the students take time to minister and encourage one another throughout the day.
