Jhonatan has been serving with the Wayuu since 2019. That year, God granted him to meet  a Wayuu young girl , Marielis .  By God´s grace, they got married on November 24th, 2023 . They are now serving together to continue to reach more people from the Wayuu ethnic group that are located in the Guajira desert peninsula on the northern coast of Colombia where there is a lot of need, no potable water, no power, communities far away of civilization, on starvation eating once a day sometimes, in sickness and in oblivion and without Christ.

Among those people loved by God, He  has given them an integral ministry taking as a priority spreading the message of salvation to people , but also look for the physical and mental health and wellbeing of those around. Along partner   Licenio  , they have created a Movement named Hope & Action Project Colombia .

  1. They show Jesus´s movie and share an evangelistic message on diverse Wayuu communities. Even people who have never watch a movie , they have the opportunity to learn about Jesus and receive Him like the Hope for the rest of their souls.
  2. They coordinate a group named “Wayuu youth for Christ” where several young people travel to another communities and share about Jesus through role plays, choreographies, music and dramatization .
  3. Twice a month, they meet with some Christian leaders among the communities to teach them some Chronological narrations of the Bible that start on the Old Testament until New Testaments . Wayuu have a translated New Testament on their native language, thank God, but they need to know more about the whole Bible and many of them don’t know how to read or write, so oral narrations are significant . They also teach how to use  The Gospel Story Arc Cube to evangelize other Wayuu and guide them through Christian education . They have fellowship and a beautiful time , learning and growing to become more like Jesus!
  4. They are visiting new Wayuu areas and pray for people , provide medicines , the Word of God and His love , hope through actions that glorify God.

Jhonatan  has been serving the Lord since he was a child around 1998. He also serves with the Mokaná indigenous people in Tubará . You are invited to come and visit ! Thank you for your prayer and support!

and saves the lives of the needy.” Psalm 72:13, ESV
