God birthed a vision in Adam and Elizabeth to see Him heal the traumatized and grievingin Ireland and the Democratic Republic of the Congo through Lilias Flower Farm. In 2014, Elizabeth felt God calling her to Ireland. She completed her YWAM Fire & Fragrance DTS, joining YWAM Staff, and waited with open hands. In the subsequent years, God gave her the vision and provisions to begin a community based, non-profit cut flower farm. Adam completed his DTS from Gateways Beyond in Cyprus, met Elizabeth in late 2019, moved to Northern Ireland and started to work in the flower farm in mid-2020. They married in late 2020. Adam is also currently in training at a local church to be a part of the worship team. With the belief that within every person and within the stories of every culture lie hidden the fingerprints of God waiting to be revealed, Elizabeth and Adam want to give space for healing and restoration so others too can seek first the kingdom of God.

Lilias Flower Farm

In 2017, Elizabeth wrote down all her desires on a piece of paper before God… What gave her passion and a smile beginning from childhood to today.  She also held before God her longing to see the Democratic Republic of the Congo transformed, a prayer originating in 2005 after reading about the wars in the Congo.  He breathed on her heart, and the non-profit cut flower farm ministry was born.  She called it Lilias Flower Farm after Lilias Trotter, and her grandmother Lillian.  Lilias Trotter was a missionary and artist who used beauty and creativity to reach people in Algeria with the love of Christ. Adam joined the team in 2020, and, applying his skills both alongside Elizabeth in the day-to-day farming while developing and maintaining systems with accounting and administration, helps bring the flower farm from a dream to a reality.

Currently the flower farm profits support mission work in the DR Congo.  The next steps of the vision are to expand the farm and centralize its location, as well as develop ways to interact with the community in both Northern Ireland and the DR Congo that will help bring healing in these nations of conflict.  We want to see beauty come from the ashes of trauma and pain in the lives of the people in these nations.

Lilias Trotter

“Take the very hardest thing in your life -the place of difficulty, outward or inward, and expect God to triumph gloriously in that very spot. Just there He can bring your soul into blossom.”  Lilias Trotter had a way of walking in deep hope when many reason for desperate hopelessness. This humility colors our vision and what we desire to carry within Northern Ireland and the DR Congo… God can bring beauty from ashes.  Her quotes and beautiful paintings deeply inspire us.

“I see flowers growing up from the ashes…”

These are the words that were spoken during a time of prayer for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and it is what we pray will happen, both figuratively and, in many ways, literally. Here are some of the many flowers we grow in Northern Ireland.
