About Us:

Wayne and Arlene Wilson are followers of Jesus Christ and have been married and involved in ministry for
over 42 years.  They have 5 children and 10 grandchildren.  They have been employed
by Christian organizations as well as in the secular workplace.  Wayne is a gifted communicator with a love for the Word of God.  He has a Master’s degree from Biola University and has done additional studies at
Westminster Theological Seminary.  Arlene is passionate about Jesus Christ and loves people. She is gifted in administration and hospitality, was raised in a missionary home, and has a Bachelor’s degree from
Grace University.

A New Direction Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (NIV).

We are keenly aware of the superiority of God’s plans versus our own.  We are most grateful to those of you who have prayerfully and financially supported us in our ministry with Un Jour Nouveau/Africa New Day.  In October of 2022, as we were preparing to go back to the U.S. for our annual Drs. appointments, the Lord told us that we were to resign from our partnership with Un Jour Nouveau/Africa New Day.  We had been planning on returning to Goma in early 2023, but that was not God’s plan.  We left UJN with much sadness between us all, and an invitation to return anytime.  There had been a lot of unrest with much rioting during our time in Goma in 2022 and the day after we left, war broke out between the rebels and the Congolese government.  2023 has been a hard year for the Congolese in Goma with thousands of refugees fleeing villages and moving to refugee camps in and around Goma.  Please pray for the people of Goma and UJN as things continue to escalate as national elections draw near on December 20, 2023.  Arlene has continued working remotely with the English Department at UJN, finishing the last year of the English Curriculum she had been writing, staying in contact with the English teachers, answering questions, and helping in any way that she can from a distance. She also translates a weekly bulletin from French into English for the UJN Media Department.

Please continue to pray for  Camille and Esther Ntoto, Directors of Un Jour Nouveau/Africa New Day, and all of the others at UJN.  Since 2005 the Ntotos have been empowering the people of DRC through Africa New Day to transform their communities, nation, and world.  When we left in October 2022 there were several people whom Wayne had trained to preach the Word of God and carry on the ministry of the English Service.

Please also continue to pray for us as we wait for God’s next assignment for us.  We are currently in Rapid City, SD where Arlene not only works remotely for UJN but also takes care of her 92-year-old mother. Wayne continues to write on various topics as the Lord leads and has been involved in prayer walking in the most dangerous neighborhood of the city and attending a weekly community meeting to help with the Native Americans.  He feels like he is a chaplain to the people in this community, as they seek him out for prayer and counsel.  He has been able to lead several of these individuals to Christ and get them connected with others who are helping them grow in the Lord. He is also teaching seminars on the reservation and in the community, at the local mall in the 316HUB where we are also involved in prayer, worship, and deliverance ministry.  Together, we also do quite a bit of counseling via Google Meets with people in Africa and here in the U.S.
