Welcome to this episode of the Modern Day Missionaries podcast. What an honor to have Lou Engle with us today. Lou, thanks so much for joining us. Welcome!
[00:00:47] Lou Engle: What a privilege to be joining the Modern Day missionaries. I’m, uh, I’m a Modern Day guy myself. And so many of our friends and sons and daughters are in, in the Modern Day movement. So I’m just grateful for Elias and for you and all of those who are, uh, are doing the work of God. Thanks for having me.
[00:01:09] Stephanie: It is a treat to have you, and many of you listening already likely know who Lou is, but for those of you who are hearing about him, meeting him for the first time today, Lou’s an intercessor for revival, and he’s the visionary co founder of The Call, which is a prayer and fasting movement responsible for gathering hundreds of thousands across the globe.
He’s been involved in church planting, establishing prayer movements, strategic houses of prayer, and he’s the founder of the pro life ministry Bound for Life. He’s also the president of Lou Engle Ministries, which mobilizes fasting and contending prayer, hosts powerful stadium events, and ignites reformation prayer into the nations of the earth. married to his beautiful wife, Teresa, who we just got to meet and she is so sweet. And you are the happy parents of seven wonderful children and 15 grandchildren, right?
[00:01:59] Lou Engle: 15 grandchildren and, um, where we, God has made us rich, blessed by children.
[00:02:07] Stephanie: And we have the privilege of having you as a Modern Day worker, which is, is really an honor for us, Lou, as you’re sharing Jesus all over the world and, bringing Jesus to the nations. And a fresh vision that God’s put in your heart that I can’t wait for you to share more about today. And, and to kind of preface that, Lou, one of the things I love about you is the way. empower people and you set their hearts on fire for Jesus. You are such an energetic and electric person to be around and to hear from. I would say that your love for God is infectious and it’s, it’s just been beautiful to see the way that he’s used you to impact students and young people all over the world. now he’s calling you to reach another very specific group of people. Could you share with us a little about that?
[00:02:56] Lou Engle: Well, yes, um, it, it, yes, uh, Oh, let me begin when I prayed a prayer in 1999. How can I turn America back to God? And I knew I’d reached into heaven and a woman came to me a couple of weeks later and she said, you don’t know who I am, but the Lord told me to pay your salary this year. And she paid my salary for 15 years and she said, have you ever thought about putting kids on the mall to fast and pray?
24 years ago, September 2nd, 450,000 young people primarily gathered to fast and pray, fueled by a woman business lady that had a vision of turning America back to God through prayer. I just met with her, Stephanie. She’s a hundred years old. She doesn’t even remember, I don’t think, who I am, but as a son, I said, I had to visit her and to say, thank you as a son for a woman that really became in one sense, my spiritual mother to help me fueled 24 years of ministry.
I’m so grateful for a woman. that arose with a vision of shifting history. And so I look back now at 2017, the Lord began, as we’ve done stadiums and arenas over the years, I didn’t see it coming, though Esther has always been my hero. To me, Esther is one of the great stories. Uh, and I, I want to encourage women.
Uh, we’ve made Esther like some kind of beauty queen, perfect woman. that nobody could ever live up to. She’s an orphan. She becomes a queen. She was sex trafficked. She probably lived in terror in the harem of a wicked king. She’s not been seen for 30 days and she knows this king could remove her in a moment.
How would you like to live that kind of life? And yet God used an orphan to make her a queen and brought her out of her pain had to come to a moment of decision that you cannot just live in your pain, the abuse you’ve experienced, the neglect that you’ve experienced over the years from men.
There comes a moment when she can’t just live out of her pain, she’s got to live out her prophecy. Esther is one of the great heroes of intercession and faith in the Bible. And anybody can find their storyline out of pain. To the fulfillment of their prophecy.
So Stephanie, it was 2017. I went up to fast and pray to Estes Park, fasted for three days. And I had a dream. And in the dream, as far as I could see, women were coming from everywhere, young and old. And it felt like a revival. I’m looking at this massive women’s Esther movement. And in the dream, they’re all coming to hear the book of Esther be taught. I’m the only man there. With an old Bible and now I understand what it means that I was being given an assignment of Mordecai, an ancient assignment to mobilize a worldwide women’s movement that would break through the powers of darkness.
And I don’t think it’s just for America. I think it’s women in the nations of the earth through prayer, fasting, and God’s positioning of their lives. And a woman stands up in the dream and she says that these two words in the book of, uh, in the book of, uh, uh, uh, Esther actually mean Nazgul. N A Z G U L, I explode out of the dream instantly knowing what it means because the third part of the Lord of the Rings, I watched it where the Nazgul Witch King is destroying the armies of men and in the dream, I mean.
In the movie, the king’s daughter takes off her helmet and says, “I am no man.” And she pierces the Nazgo Witch King. I explode out of the dream and instantly I know God is raising up a women’s movement and Esther movement that will gain authority over the powers and principalities over witchcraft, the powers of darkness. And I woke up out of the dream and I knew the Lord was saying, I want you to raise up this movement.
October 12th, the day of atonement. On the Day of Atonement this year, we’re calling a million women to the mall in D. C. for eight hours for a massive communion service, to travail for their children to be saved, to take a stand against witchcraft, declaring the victory and the power of Christ’s blood over the powers, and then raising up a movement called Don’t Mess With Our Kids.
Where women are basically saying, you can’t tell our kids, you can’t tell us that we can’t, that we have to use those pronouns. We’re willing to go to jail if needed, but we will not give our children to the education system that’s seeking to destroy the children’s ideologies and identity. And so we’re raising up a mass women’s movement.
And I, and that’s what I’m doing. I believe that God is putting his hand on women worldwide right now. In the mission field as well. And so that’s what I’m doing, Stephanie. That’s kind of the story I’m in right now.
[00:08:55] Stephanie: So, Lou, why do you think God is calling women right now? What do you sense is going on?
[00:09:01] Lou Engle: Well, I think it’s always, it’s always been in God’s heart. You know, you got to ask the question, why did God go after Eve? Not Adam, because the woman is the, carries the womb, I believe, both spiritually and naturally, to give birth to revival. Historically, even the student missions movement, the, uh, born in the 1800s, was born out of a woman, Her name was Grace, I forget what, you would, many of you would know the name.
She prayed for years, and then for 50 days, I believe, she prayed out of this gathering in, uh, in New England. She prayed for 50 days that God would give a hundred volunteers to go to the mission field. They, that movement that exploded is, is actually related to the groans and travails of a woman who birthed a missions movement.
God has always used women, and particularly in times of great crisis. Deborah is raised up in times of great crisis. Now, Esther was raised up in a time of great crisis. Who would have guessed that we would actually see this Esther movement arise at a time of global antisemitism? I believe many women’s voices, women are being raised up into high places in our government, in the United States.
They’re standing for life. They’re standing for marriage. And I believe that God’s literally saying, I’m going to put my hand on women at this time in an extraordinary way. I’ve thought about that passage, Stephanie, in Psalm 68:11 Great is the number of the women. Of women who proclaim the good news. I used to think, well, it’s like, why aren’t there more men on the mission field?
Something’s wrong here. And the Lord rebuked me and he said, no, this is my plan. Great is the number of the missionaries. On the field, I planned to use women. That’s why so many of them are on the field. I planned to use women as my greatest missionaries.
And you look at the Gladys Howards. The stories of the great missionary women who simply just went on their own because the men wouldn’t make a place for them. And God used them to shift history. So I’m glad to proclaim Modern Day women on the field. Come on, you were a plan. You were a plan from God.
[00:11:53] Stephanie: What are some of the unique gifts and strengths that you think women are bringing to the world, to the mission space, to churches right now?
[00:12:05] Lou Engle: Well, just speaking in my own journey in 2014, all this whole movement started. When there was an explosion of prophecy in Frederick, uh, Fredericksburg, Virginia, and it was this, that there is coming a million women to the mall, and it will be a last stand for America, and they will come in the spirit of Jeremiah 9, death has climbed through our windows.
And call the wailing women and teach your daughters to wail. And when they come in the spirit of Jeremiah 9, they will save a nation. Well, Francis Frangipane wrote a book called, This Day We Fight. And he says, he searched for a revival, a prayer movement before every revival and couldn’t, and found a prayer movement before every revival except one: the Jesus movement of the seventies, where kids were being saved out of the drug and sex culture.
And so he said, Lord, why wasn’t there a prayer movement before the Jesus movement? And the Lord answered him and said, Oh, I had my prayer movement. See, the women, the mothers of America were losing their children to the counter cultural revolution of the 60s. And he said, I raised up a million women to pray and cry out for their children that they were being lost. And I answered them with the 70s Jesus movement. I believe that God has put something naturally and spiritually in women to give birth to children. This is what my expectation is, and I believe I look back to my own journey.
When I got saved, uh, uh, I got saved. I came home to California from college, gave my life to Jesus. One morning, my mom walked out of her bedroom, sat down next to me, opened up her Daily Bread devotional, And then stood up, stood in front of me, and she says, Now I want to show you what I’ve been doing for years, every morning, and gets on her knees, and begins to cry out for her son, Lou Engle.
My life and my calling was born out of the cries and intercession of a mother. And I believe that in one sense, every woman on the field is primarily a birthing revival woman and that when it seems like death is climbed through our windows when the Haman’s are rising up in government trying to silence and persecute the church, a woman’s prayers literally thrust fresh new days of salvation and awakening.
And so, I think that’s one thing. The other thing is this. That I believe that God is, raising up women into a place of, divine destiny and divine purpose. I believe, uh, in many ways the shift, a shift took place in the American government when 32 women ran for Congress. and got into Congress and literally took a stand with their voices for the ending of Roe v. Wade. I believe God is raising up women. And it’s interesting that Esther was a migrant, a foreigner, missionaries. I believe women missionaries are going to be raised up in places of influence simply because they care, because they’re orphans, They care, they serve, they love, and that gives them divine favor.
And I’m believing, and I want to encourage people in Modern Day to dare to believe God. Take my life, make it extraordinary. Lord, exaltation comes from the Lord. He raises up one, brings down another. So I believe these are the days of an Esther worldwide raising up of Esther’s. to shift history in the nations of the earth.
I don’t know if that answers your question, but that’s what I’m living with.
[00:16:25] Stephanie: I loved what you had to share there. That was amazing. And Lou, you talked about behind the scenes, things like prayer that are sometimes very invisible. And then you also talked about visible things like women leading. I’d love for you to speak to that for a second. Cause I know there’s been a lot of controversy, I think within Christianity, or I should say even different perspectives or thoughts on women in leadership. I’d love to hear yours.
[00:16:52] Lou Engle: Oh, so you’re wanting me to wade into this great controversy.
[00:16:56] Stephanie: If you’d like to.
[00:16:58] Lou Engle: I can’t give all the answers. I just know this. The Bible said, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. And I think prophesying can be preaching. The major players in my own life have been women who literally have been my spiritual mothers that called me into my destiny and they’re, and they shifted the whole, they shifted nations.
I won’t give names here, but, uh, but I believe with all my heart, I look at who is the gal in India, uh, the, the missionary in India, I can’t think of her name right now, uh, that was so used by God. I think of the gal, Jackie Pullinger. who went into Hong Kong into the darkest areas and proclaimed the gospel and pastored people. And how can you say that God was not in that? I simply look at the biblical tradition that God raises up women to raise up their, uh, their voices to shift history. So that’s maybe all I’ll say.
[00:18:14] Stephanie: I think that’s great. And Lou, you have a daughter serving in ministry and serving in missions. Wow.
[00:18:33] Lou Engle: 11 year old girls were caught up in the, in the middle of the night, one o’clock to four o’clock. I recorded the story. And they said, uh, Mott’s too small. It was Mott Auditorium, the big auditorium where we saw a great revival for three years.
Five nights, four nights a week. And this outpouring took place and these angels visited these young girls they were seeking. They were in the Mott Auditorium, named after John R. Mott. The student volunteer missions, and so they said, they, they begin under the spirit, seeing this angelic realm, they begin to proclaim, much too small, this arena, this, this, uh, uh, auditorium, much too small, stadiums will be filled, much too small, stadiums will be filled.
In other words, we understood that the mobilization of missionaries, it was too small for a 3,000 seat auditorium. There’s coming such a wave of sending of missionaries that stadiums will actually be sent. That’s been happening right now with a movement called The Send. At the end of that, they said, much too small stadiums will be filled.
At 4 o’clock, I walked across the street to my home. And immediately my wife’s contractions started and she gave birth to Gloria, Angela, the angels, Grace, and little did we know that, that we would see a Zusa now and a stadium filled in Orlando with the scent, with the whole purpose of hurling for laborers into the harvest field.
So my daughter was caught up into this and she had a dream at age 17. And in the dream, uh, uh, the leaders of this movement came to her and said, There is a woman that’s been martyred in, in India. And we would like you to go to India and tell and, and hear what the people who knew her and, write her story, this martyr story.
So Gloria goes to India in the dream and she would go to the villages and the people, the villages would talk about this amazing woman who was martyred and how she ministered to their hearts and loved them. And she said, Gloria says, I kept recording in this book, the story of this martyr. And then in this dream, she came to the end of writing the book and she closed it.
And in the dream, she realized she was writing her own story. I know I prayed for her. I was praying Lord of the Harvest, Ekballo! laborers, day and day. I found myself praying at night. I wrote a book called Praying Ekballo, believe for laborers into the harvest field.
She came to me and she said, dad, I had a dream last night. In this dream, I was in this huge auditorium in the front row and Lauren Cunningham was on the stage, the leader of youth with a mission. And he was preaching on the mantle of Joshua coming on, uh, coming on, uh, mantle of Moses coming on Joshua and he kept looking at me and, uh, and in the dream, he fell to the ground and died.
She said, I leaped up on the stage and begin to give him CPR. Saying, you can’t die yet. Your task isn’t finished. You can’t die yet. Your task isn’t finished. She said, dad, he raised from the dead, grabbed me by the shoulders and says, it’s not my task to finish. It’s yours. She was hurled into the mission field because I believe her father’s prayers.
And today, I can’t tell you where she is. But she’s in an unreached people group, and they’ve learned the language, and they’ve decided to move into the neighborhoods out of the Christian segment of that city. We, we’ve learned, they’ve learned the language, and the minute they move back into, into the, the neighborhood of those they’re trying to reach, I feel like it was like a territorial commitment.
That when they took it, immediately. Their first convert took place who had three dreams and the last dream was, in this dream, he dreamed that he was eating the body of Christ. He understood he was to be one with Jesus. It’s a radical, radical thing for a missionary to take their stand, almost like a territory commitment.
And they’re there. They’ve made their commitment. We’re going for this people group and, uh, it costs, but I’m so proud.
[00:23:58] Lou Engle: She, she was actually also a missionary in Nepal, learned Nepalese and came back to the stadium where we had 70, 000 calling forth the missionaries, sending them forth, and she came back and on the stage, she preached a message with fire. My daughter, she preached, and people are on the mission field today because he heard that young lady
[00:24:27] Stephanie: um, preach the gospel, and I want to encourage those people, when you don’t look like you don’t see anything happening, the Lord hurled you forth into that mission field to make his testimony
[00:24:44] Lou Engle: Samuel Zwemer, that great missionary to the Muslims, maybe saw one convert in how many years? 40 years. One convert, but his sons and daughters are now fueling the Muslim world. Your stand is important. This is the book I wrote.
It’s called Pray Ekballo. And, uh, it’s, it’s a powerful word, uh, that, the word ekballo was, he said, pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth labors in the, into the harvest field.
We do disservice to that passage. The word there is not pray. He says to his disciples, pray the Lord…It’s a command. I command you. And the word is not pray. It is beg. I command you to beg me. See, it’s much more than pray a little “Lord, send for the,” He’s calling us to beg him. Hurl forth labors.
The word is not the word send. It’s not the normal word for sin. It’s the word. It’s the word ekballa. It’s the word Jesus used. If I by the finger of God, hurl for laborers, beg me to hurl forth… Drive them out. Like he said, I, I drive out demons. That’s the word. I command you to beg me, drive forth, laborers into the harvest field.
I, that’s that word. I begin to beg God, hurl forth laborers. And then my other son, one of my sons has a dream. And he’s in a back row of an auditorium, huge auditorium, and Lauren Cunningham is on the stage. And he said, I was so moved by his message, he ran outside in the dream to his car and began crying out, Hear my Lord, send me!
Hear my Lord, send me! Ended up going with YWAM into the Himalayas, carrying his guitar in the Jesus film. I believe the Lord was showing me this prayer. And for those that are on the field, need to pray this prayer. All four labors in the He was showing me that it works in your own family, and it will work all over the earth when the church seizes this prayer.
That was the answer to the great problem, not enough labors. I preached a lot right here, Stephanie…
[00:27:13] Stephanie: I enjoyed it and what an encouragement because you’re talking to missionaries, you’re talking to people who have responded to the call and it’s just so good to remember that there are people who are praying for us, who are encouraging us.
Lou, I’d love to ask you a question that I wasn’t planning on asking, but you’ve mentioned a couple of times dreams. Could you share for a second about the importance? Or the role that you think God speaking to us through dreams can and should play in our lives.
[00:27:44] Lou Engle: Well, you just touched the sweet spot of my life and calling. If you hang around the dream king, you get into a dream stream, you join yourself to a dream team. your missions team, and you do the Martin Luther King thing. That there’s something about dreams of divine intelligence that God wants to give to us.
To give us keys to unlock doors in our own hearts, issues of spiritual darkness. issues of spiritual warfare and give us actually divine strategies on how to penetrate the strong. The Lord gave us a dream with life tape, put us in front of the Supreme Court with that dream. It became the symbol of the whole pro life movement.
In the news for years, it was a sign. Out of it, we prayed a prayer. Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins, the sins of my nation. God, end abortions, send revival to America. 18 years standing five days a week in front of the Supreme Court, I’ve asked the question, what if we would not have done the dream? We say it’s just a dream.
Who knows what angels had to break through to deliver a message and we simply say it’s just a dream. Literally, our prayer movements have been fueled by dreams. We pray our dreams and God gives us access in the divine wisdom. I believe it’s one of the key elements to missionaries that maybe have been neglected.
That we just didn’t have a grid that, like Daniel, in the midst of a foreign land, gets dreams, interprets dreams, and actually upends principalities and powers by a wisdom that comes down from above. Wherever I go, and I would like to do this today, Stephanie, I pray for people to get dreams, and for some reason, like Paul said, I come to impart a spiritual gift.
Wherever I go, people start dreaming dreams. I don’t understand it. I mean, I don’t know about the theology of all your people, but I remember years ago, a woman came to me. She said, I’ve never dreamed a dream. I’ve never spoken in tongues. I said, okay, let’s pray. Lord, I pray that you would give her a dream and have her speak in tongues.
Come back next week. Tell me what happened. She comes back next week. I said, did you have a dream? She says, yes, I had a dream that I was speaking in tongues and woke up speaking in tongues. She was baptized in the Holy Spirit in a dream. Another man said, Lou, I heard you preach on 40 days of fasting, which to me, extended fasting is the power breakthrough of principalities and powers, not legalism, but love.
God has led me into fasts that I’ve seen, if I could say so, leaders in government removed from office because we dreamed about them and we prayed the dream and literally were impeached from office. One man came to me, says, I’ve never fasted my whole life. But I heard you preach this. Would you pray that I could fast 40 days on water?
I’m thinking this is so stupid, but I prayed a pitiful little prayer. Lord help this man to fast 40 days on water. Amen. See ya. He came back to me a month and a half or so later. He said I could not eat for 40 days. I fasted 40 days on water. He did three 40 day fasts in a two year period. Came to back to me. He said, Lou, I’ve seen the dead raised.
I believe that Jesus fasts. It is a forerunner of Jesus breakthrough ministry of those who sat in darkness and seen a great light. I want to pray, if I could, I want to pray for people to have dreams.
Banning Leibscher of Jesus Culture said, You came to us in 1999, none of us dreamed dreams. You prayed that night. Every one of us had dreams that night and they have never stopped since. I believe it’s one of the keys to missionary breakthroughs. And so I’d like to pray that and I’d like to pray the grace of fasting, not bondage. I’ve broken more fast when I just tried to do it without God’s grace.
But I like to pray that there is a grace of fasting when God awakens your heart and creates faith for breakthroughs. Whenever, whenever the Lord stirs my faith, my, my, uh, uh, stirs me to fast, I get excited. Cause I know something’s about ready to break through. Hallelujah.
[00:32:28] Stephanie: I would love that. Cause you know, At Modern Day, well, first of all, we have missionaries that listen to this podcast from all over the world that aren’t even necessarily with Modern Day. And one of the things I love about Modern Day is we have missionaries from all different kinds of denominational and theological backgrounds.
Obviously, we all unite around Christ and have the same dogma, but we have a lot of diverse perspectives.
[00:32:51] Lou Engle: Yes.
[00:32:52] Stephanie: And I love the voice that you bring in here today. And so I recognize that some people are probably listening to this and they’re like, yes, amen, to every word that you’re saying.
And there are some who maybe this is challenging for. They, maybe God has never spoken them into, uh, spoken to them through dreams or they haven’t experienced fasting or any of that, but what a great thing to be challenged by a fresh and new perspective. And so I can’t think of a better way to close our interview today.
Although I do want to make sure. After you pray to ask you about the event. So we can’t forget, I want to let people know how they can be involved with the event, whether they are local or whether they’re global, um, yes. Would you pray for all of the missionaries and missions personnel who are listening right now? I would love that.
[00:33:36] Lou Engle: There are different ways that God speaks to us. He can speak to us in a still, small voice. That’s like YWAM. uh, their major thing. He’ll speak to you through the scriptures. For us, for some reason or other, he spoke to us through dreams. And, and what you can do is say, Lord, I believe you will not give me a stone if I ask for a piece of bread.
How much more he gives good gift. Lord, why don’t, why don’t you start praying? Lord, if you want to speak to me in ways I’ve never discovered, just start to pray every night or speak to me in the night. It’s all through the Bible, all the way through the New Testament. It’s dreams, Jesus. So I just want to pray that right now.
You don’t need to feel anything. Just receive it by faith. Then go to bed. And if it doesn’t happen, don’t be discouraged. Just keep asking. I’m going to keep asking that you would speak to me.
So Lord, right now, I loose the grace, this grace of dreams, as you said in the last days. We’re in those days. I will pour out my spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy and they’ll dream dreams and see visions.
So I pray for that release. There will be such an encouragement when people are feeling all alone and they just need a word from you. You’ll come to them and kiss them in the, so to speak, in the middle of the night with language that you have learned. I just want to say this, you don’t have to learn God’s language, He’s learned yours.
And He’ll come to you in dreams and speak symbols that are very dear to you. So I bless you, I just received it. I pray right now for the grace of fasting. That God I’ve found over my life. Great breakthroughs usually take place in the days of fasting and you unroll my own personal scroll, chapter by chapter, in those fasts that show me what’s the next stage of my journey.
I loose the grace of fasting, stir it, awaken it, in Jesus name. I just reach out to that, to this, to this. TV to the screen, whatever you’re on, just reach out and say, Lord, I touched this by faith.
[00:35:59] Stephanie: Amen. Thank you so much, Lou. Would you share with everybody, especially all the women listening…?
You know what? I have one more question for you before we do that actually. For the men who are listening, how can they empower and breathe life into the women in their lives?
[00:36:20] Lou Engle: This is a major thing. You look at Mordecai, nobody thinks about Mordecai that much. Mordecai in many ways was the catalyst of the whole Esther movement. He took a stand, one man, For truth, wouldn’t bow down to the anti-semitic spirit of Haman. His personal stand launched a worldwide cosmic conflict against his state.
Then the second thing is. When his daughter was, his, his daughter that he adopted, he adopted, I think this is a key that, that men are adopting in their hearts, women, caring for them, believing for them, when she’s thrown into that harem, literally he was, she was in a harem, he stood at the gate day by day, wondering how her heart was, I would encourage men, and I’m speaking to my own issue, that I would learn to care for my daughter’s heart.
Day by day, how are you doing? Care for your wife’s hearts. Rather than just saying, you know, do your stuff. Well, she’s, she’s, her heart is embattled in many ways. Issues from her past feel orphaned. Women that feel orphaned inside and their husbands don’t touch that heart. What if you stood every day by the gate and say, how’s your heart?
That’s a beautiful, that’s how I call men. But then there are also men that Mordecai recognizes that God raised up his wife or his woman or his daughter. That she was brought to a point of a divine assignment, that she must step into her destiny and find her voice. There are many women in difficult circumstances will be placed in a decision moment of divine destiny to risk everything.
Encourage your woman to go to that school board and be a part of the school board. Encourage your woman to get it, take her voice in whatever way she can. She’s being called to and then get behind her and say you can’t live in your pain the rest of your life. Step into your divine destiny. Help her to unroll her scroll not just yours and I’m preaching to myself my wife’s probably like, Lou, you better listen to what you’re preaching!
I think that’s a good I would encourage you men every man of Mordecai come to the mall October 12th. Stand with the esters together, because it’s not just a women’s movement isolated from family, men, families, children, but the emphasis is these Esthers who will rise for such a time as this. To pray, birth, revival, secondly, take a stand in the heavenly places, declaring the victory of the witchcraft, believing that God is going to raise up esters into high places, and then also take a stand. And don’t mess with our kids. We’re gonna take a stand. You can’t have our children.
Hallelujah.
[00:39:25] Stephanie: And Lou, how can all of the missionaries who live abroad, who won’t be able to make it in person for that event, what can they do? How can they be a part?
[00:39:34] Lou Engle: You can actually join us on that day We’re good. There are nations. I can’t tell you I think there’s ten nations that are already preparing gatherings in their own nations because they understand there are 60 elections worldwide this year It’s a worldwide shifting of raising up kings and bringing them down. You think of the very nations where those missionaries are. You can dare to believe that you join the prayers, that God will remove those who are seeking to bring persecution to the church.
He can remove kings in a day, and shift history through your Esther prayer. I would encourage you to go on a three-day Esther fast. Uh, on September the 22nd, 110 million intercessors. We know the movements that are in the, they’re concerned for America. They’re gonna be joining that day. 110 million. Praying for America.
You can join us online, https://amillionwomen.org/ and you can actually hold your own prayer, women’s prayer gathering in your own living room. You could pray that God would raise up Esthers in your own regions and in your own cities and that God will, will, uh, and then pray for Israel with that.
I believe it’s an Esther moment. It’s the same spirit of Hamas, which is Haman. that came to destroy the Israelis. Now, I’m not, I’m not saying you have to join and have an agreement with the government of Israel. I am saying something took place. That something way beyond the normal took place. It’s an Esther hour to stand against the powers of darkness.
So they can be involved. October 12th, it’ll be an eight hour gathering. It’s the day of atonement. When on that day, literally on the day of atonement, Israel was saved from judgment and brought into mercy because of the blood. Can you imagine a million women online or on the lawn in D.C. taking communion and begging for mercy for their nations and pleading the blood of Jesus?
There’s more on this line. I would encourage you, take communion all the time. We’re finding that women, families are praying bloodline prayers, the blood of Jesus over their children. Over people that are persecuting them and seeing breakthroughs when they’ve applied the blood. The blood of Jesus, the blood at Passover, not only saved the families, it judged the gods of Egypt. On that day, could you believe that the judge, that God could judge gods over nations? As you stand as Esther’s applying the blood.
[00:42:25] Stephanie: Lou, you are contagious. I feel stirred up in the spirit. I’m just excited to see what God has for everybody who’s listening to this today. Thank you again for coming on. You mentioned one of your books. There’s another one that I love. I want to recommend––Digging the Wells of Revival. Outstanding book there. So we’re going to be posting, um, links to those resources, to the website that you mentioned today, uh, so that people can follow up and take steps. I’m going to be reaching out to you afterwards. Maybe you can get some resources specifically on fasting and dreams and some of the things that
[00:43:02] Lou Engle: I have, I have a book called, Uh, The Jesus Fast, and a smaller one called The Fast, and they really, they really are the DNA. By the way, Stephanie, I want people to know, but I told children’s stories, I would make them up at night times to my children, and it was about a special sparrow called Stephanie Sparrow.
I just thought about you. You’re so bright and, uh, I would make up the stories I go and my kids could feel the presence of the Lord when the great eagle would come and rescue Stephanie when she was doing crazy stuff. I call you Stephanie Sparrow.
[00:43:43] Stephanie: I get, I received that. Thanks Lou. Well, thank you again, just for All that you do to breathe fresh life into people who need it. And I really believe that everybody who heard today, not only received what you had to say, but the spirit that you imparted through it. So just can’t thank you enough. We are proud to have you over here at Modern Day.
That’s all I can say.
[00:44:08] Lou Engle: Amen. Modern Day Missionary.
[00:44:10] Stephanie: Yes. And everybody else, um, who joined us today. So glad to have you. And again, make sure to engage with some of those resources. See how you can be a part of the big event on October 12th. And we can’t wait to see you on our next episode.
