4Freedom is an organization, looking to help children affected by human trafficking and abuse in the Philippines. We currently carry programs like Safe Families for Children, Alongsiders, Good Touch Bad touch Flipchart Training and Play Therapy Philippines.
4Freedom is a licensed provider of the Safe Families for Children program in the Philippines. Safe Families reaches out to vulnerable and at risk families in the community through simple activities carried out by volunteers – from providing childcare to spending time hearing the needs of an isolated parent who needs someone to listen.
Alongsiders Christian youth to mentor vulnerable children using comic books to teach biblical life lessons. This grassroots discipleship program empowers youth to mentor peers. 4Freedom trains youth leaders, encouraging them to use these resources for youth outreach, creating a movement of one generation transforming the next.
Good Touch Bad Touch training using a simple flipchart model, this training is a simple step-by-step story told by a volunteer to children about big issues, such as inappropriate behavior by adults and how to get help. This is designed to raise awareness of what is right and wrong in terms of how adults, especially, should behave towards them, children can seek help from teachers, carers, and trusted adults and expose the hurtful behavior of others.
Play therapy helps traumatized children process their experiences through storytelling and play with experts. Although children may appear resilient, hidden traumas can affect them later, leading to issues like addiction, self-harm, and violence. With access to trained professionals, children can share their experiences in a safe environment and receive the necessary help to heal from their trauma. 4Freedom is developing therapy services to help traumatised children in poor communities to receive the help they need to heal from their experiences in a safe environment.
