Amy loves serving in her volunteer-role with TEAM (The Evangelical Alliance Mission). Her husband, Craig, is the Manager of Global Third Culture Kid (TCK)-Care Coordination which means that Craig and Amy work together as a couple to support parents and their Cross-Cultural Kids (CCKs). Amy loves using her own cross-cultural experiences, education, and professional training to mentor, coach, and equip young people to find their identity in Christ. It is such a gift to be in a role of encouraging others to use their God-given gifts for His glory.
Amy was born in Europe to a missionary family and lived on a Micronesian Island for many years while her father served as a local pastor. Amy has felt God’s call on her life since a very young age. After finishing her education degrees and other certifications in coaching and fitness, she had the opportunity to serve around the world through the avenues of athletics, education and international ministries. This has cultivated Amy’s passion for coaching and mentoring. She is so thankful for the opportunities she had to travel as an athlete and international athletic coach, seeing God’s hand at work through these experiences, and better equipping her for this ministry.
While teaching in Asia with the Network of International Christian Schools, Amy met her husband Craig. Since then, they have added beautiful boys to the family. They have loved serving together in various teaching and ministry roles in Asia and North America. Amy’s heart is for cross-cultural kids as she has lived as one in various contexts and is raising her own kids in a multiethnic, multi-passport family.
In our roles as Third-Culture Kid (TCK) Care coordinators, we focus on educational, mental, and emotional support for the families in our organization. But most importantly, we get to help young people, specifically cross-cultural kids, find their identity in Christ. We hope to help them grasp that their experiences have a beautiful purpose in God’s unique story for them!
