I’m Brett Duhe, originally from Louisiana, now living in Tokyo, Japan with my amazing wife, Kasumi Yoshida Duhe. After graduating from the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM), I felt the Lord stirring my heart for Japan. Honestly, my childhood love for ninjas and samurais might have started it—but as I grew older, my passion matured into something much deeper. During my time at BSSM, I had the opportunity to come to Japan on several mission trips. On those trips, God broke my heart for this nation and filled it with love for the people here.
After many visits, incredible divine connections, and meeting my wife here in Japan, God opened the door for us to live and serve long-term in this beautiful country. We’ve now been living in Japan for over 3 years, and we are so honored to call Tokyo our home.
What We’re Doing in Japan
Right now, I’m serving at 21st Century Christ Church (21CCC) in Tokyo. My main areas of ministry are:

Leading the Young Adults Ministry, discipling and walking alongside the next generation of believers

Serving on the Prophetic Team, helping create space for people to hear God’s voice and be encouraged

Assisting with Production/PA (audio-visual support) to help strengthen our church gatherings

Supporting kids ministry and participating in prayer and worship nights

Partnering with other local missionaries to advance the Gospel in Tokyo
I also lead weekly Bible studies with a passionate group of young believers who are hungry for God.
Our Vision
Our heart is simple: to see God move powerfully in Japan and to see His Kingdom grow here. Japan is home to over 125 million people, and less than 1% know Jesus. That reality is why we’re here—because we believe the harvest is ready, and God is raising up laborers.

My wife and I have a deep passion for healthy living. We dream of opening a CrossFit gym one day where people can pursue physical health in a positive, faith-filled environment.

Technology & the Future
Recently, God gave me a dream that took me by surprise—He called me into the tech world. At first, I thought it was crazy. But I chose to say “yes” to Him. I believe He’s leading me to bring light into tech spaces in Japan and beyond, to innovate, mentor, and help shape the future of this country with Kingdom values.
