Friends and Family,

Our time serving with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) was an incredible experience that led us to serve in Burundi, East Africa. It was filled with great challenges yet incredible ministry. God is moving powerfully in the world today and the harvest is ready!

We have returned to our home in Ohio and are meeting with friends and church family to catch up with each other and share stories.  We are also taking time to pray and seek the Lord about our future as we sense Him inviting us to step out in faith again.

Would you continue to pray for the Johnson family as we seek to hear and obey Jesus?

Friends and Family,

We are taking a huge step of faith, and we would like to invite you to join us! A few years ago, Amy and I began to sense the Lord leading us to immerse our family in world missions before our children entered high school. After much prayer, we requested permission to take a six-month leave of absence and received the green light from our church leadership.

From January-June 2024, we will participate in a family discipleship training school through YWAM (Youth with a Mission), an international missions organization. The first half of the mission involves biblical training at the YWAM base in Kona, Hawaii, followed by serving in an international context chosen during training.

This decision comes at the 20-year anniversary of us surrendering our lives completely to the Lord. We are receiving this as an opportunity to lay it all down again at His feet. It is ALWAYS worth it to surrender all to Jesus! (John 12:26, Psalm 37:5-6) We are so grateful to be going with the blessing of Antioch, our home church, and look forward to sharing everything God has done when we return.

Here is our request to you: Would you pray for the Johnson family? We are asking that the Lord would mark our children for the Great Commission and reveal His heart for the world, as well as give us renewed vision for the next 20 years of ministry.

Thank you for praying for us and considering partnering with us on our journey of following Jesus into the mission field as a family!

Carl & Amy,

Lily, Kate, Charlie & Jack
