Hi there, I’m Claire and I’m a missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in the beautiful city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands! I’ve been here since September 2023 and I am now a full time staff of an amazing school called the School of Biblical Studies (SBS)!
What is the SBS?
The SBS is a 9 month school that focuses on studying the Bible with the Inductive Bible Study Method. This means that we study the Bible in the context of the original audience and what it would have meant for them, then and there. The SBS is a very unique school because it is the only school in the world that allows students to study every book of the Bible with this inductive method. The heart of this school is simply to get to know God deeper through his word. The reason I am here is because I have a passion for the living and active word of God and seeing people be transformed through studying it. My life was completely transformed through doing this school and I am thrilled to be part of this journey for others.
What do I do here?
As a staff of this school, my role involves practical responsibilities, academic mentorship, teaching, and spiritual discipleship. This means that I get to be part of both the academic and the spiritual sides of this school. I get to grade students work, meet with them to mentor them through their studies, invest in students spiritually through discipleship, teach different books of the Bible, and more. It is such a joy and a privilege to be part of what God is doing here in this community and through this school. Right now we have 15 students from many different nations who will be going through this journey of studying the whole Bible until July 2027!

As a missionary, I live off financial support and I am looking to expand my support team.
