Hello y’all! My name is Colton Snow! I am originally from Aledo, Texas, but am currently based out of Waco, Texas. In May I graduated from Baylor with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion (Biblical Languages). I was first called towards the ministry of preaching and teaching at a young age, and over the years the Lord has continued to refine what that calling means.
I first visited the UK on a mission trip with Highland Baptist Church March of my freshman year at Baylor. During my week there I was a part of a team in the town Hexham (near Newcastle). The month after returning was filled with a great deal of prayer and questioning. I found my spirit to be deeply troubled by the apathy I saw there, not simply to God, but to one’s own soul and worth as well. That is not to say that the Lord is not already moving greatly in the North of England, but that trip made it evident that there is a great deal of work to be done and few to do it. It was during this month of prayer that I first heard the Lord calling me across the pond. I returned to England again in March of my junior year, this time I was a part of a team located in Redcar (just East of Middlesbrough). It was during my week in Redcar that the Lord again reminded me that I was to do ministry in the UK at some point. The need in Redcar is great and there is a team of faithful ministers that have been doing the work of the Gospel there for years, and I am excited to join them. In November of 2025 the Lord opened a myriad of doors for me to participate in the ministry happening in Redcar.
The town of Redcar holds a population of around 36,000 people (about the same amount of undergrads at Texas Tech University). The two most recent censuses taken for Redcar show that in the 10 years between 2011 and 2021 belief in Jesus has fallen about 20%, while claims to atheism have risen the same amount. Another census taken by the UK’s Office for National Statistics reports that about 4.5% of the population of Redcar attends church at least once every month. That’s 1,620 people (a little over the amount of people who attend college night at my home church in Waco, Highland Baptist Church). While 70.3% of the population reports never attending church (over 25,000 people).
For the next two years I will be living in Redcar, England working for Redcar Baptist Church under a Religious Workers Visa. I will be serving as the Men’s Minister, preaching on Sundays here and there, serving in the Youth Ministry, and teaching classes. The town of Redcar is a dark place but I am continually encouraged by Ephesians 3:20-22, “Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.” I believe that the Lord is working to do something in Redcar that is greater than I could ever ask for or imagine through the power at work in his laborers in Redcar.
In order to continue doing ministry in Redcar I need to raise $41,075 this year, broken down with $14,075 being up-front one-time donations, and a total of $2,278 provided a month through recurring donations.
Currently, I have raised over half of my one-time donation goal! This fully covers my visa fee, two years of healthcare I have to pay upfront when I apply for my visa, my flight there, and my flights for Christmas to see my family! Meaning I can finally apply for my visa! Seriously praise God!
