We are Paul and Loring Hammond (but you probably already know that) ~

Here’s a quick look at our lives, with some photos below.

We are a blended family with six kids (all grown) and nine grandchildren – the loves of our lives! We married in 1999. Our family is spread out! One son and his family live in Michigan. One daughter and her family live in New Hampshire, one daughter outside of Paris, France, with her family, another daughter and family in Missouri, another son and family in Colorado, and one son living with us here in Florida.

Since we’ve been married we have been involved in many short-term mission trips. Paul has been to Russia five times, Kenya twice, and Honduras six times. Paul has also done short-term mission work in Kazakstan. Paul speaks English, Russian, and Spanish.

Loring has done short-term mission work in Mexico twice, Russia twice, Kenya twice, Honduras 6 times and most recently Tanzania with the Maasai people. She is also learning Spanish.

In 2016, we received the call of God to change the focus of our mission work from short-term to long-term missions. He spoke to our hearts, and it was clearly confirmed the very next day! We felt Him saying “After you retire, I want you to move to Honduras.” We had both been to Honduras, however, actually living there was not something that we had considered.

Since then, God has been growing in us an even greater love for the Honduran people and the beautiful land. He is calling us to share the gospel and make disciples, build relationships with pastors, teach worship ministry, be involved in mercy ministry to the poor, help with medical missions, and support healing for victims of human trafficking. We plan to come alongside organizations that do all of these things, as well as creating our own curriculum for worship seminars. We don’t have it all figured out, but the Lord has assured us that He will light our path and open every door we need when we get there. We’re so excited to begin our journey! Won’t you come along?
