CHONGÓN-AGUA VIVA MINISTRY

According to ancient traditions, Chongón was founded and settled by Carib migrants on the same site where it stands today. Its name, derived from the Carib language, breaks down into “Chom-nom,” which means “my house on fire.”
We serve the Lord by reaching unreached youth through:
SPORTS: We seek to create fun environments with soccer and ping pong, giving young people the opportunity to clear their minds and bodies with something healthy, not drugs, while we seek to connect more closely with them.
MUSIC: We created a free music academy where guitar, piano, and drums are taught. This is a great opportunity to continue teaching them that you can make a living from music, but worship with your heart.
HEALING GROUPS: We teach that God is as interested in healing the heart as He is in healing the body. We do this through small, interactive groups.
HOW CAN YOU PRAY FOR US?
- Pray for safety. Chongón is a place dominated by gangs. Its a very dangerous place.
- Pray for every young we are serving, that we may impact their lives with our testimonies.
- Pray for every ”kids club” (every saturday), that every lesson be taught with love and kids may turn their families.
- Pray for perseverance in music students and for new musicians who love Jesus.
- Pray for men, they are very difficult to reach.
- Pray for Baby Sol, she is growing so fast. We want to show her the love of God
- Pray for our marriage. Being parents have been a great challenge.
