Hi! Thanks for visiting our ministry page. Sarah and I are passionate about encouraging people on their journey to opening their home to foster children and walking down the path of adoption.
We have been in full-time ministry since 2009. In 2008, we attended a prayer meeting, both leaving with a sense that we should open our home in order to care for and adopt orphans. Since then, due to our calling to adopt, David & Sarah have adopted six children from foster care.
Responding to a call to full time ministry in 2009, The Chapdelaine’s ministry has grown over time into an important ministry to the Greater Cincinnati area (and, thanks to Zoom & FaceTime, all over the nation!)
Our experience with the need for mentoring and encouragement on the journey of adoption has led us to engage with others in care for the orphan through foster care and adoption has let us to invest in mentoring foster and adoptive parents in our journey.
As adoption advocates, we meet with families in foster care and those considering foster care to offer wisdom, information, and encouragement in their journeys. We have served as official mentor parents with the University of Kentucky and have provided speaking, small group discussion and support group facilitating.
David & Sarah live in Cincinnati, OH with their 6 adopted children.
