My relationship with Jesus grows stronger every day. I grew up in a Christian home, went to a Christian school. I like to say that I grew up with a Christian culture. It wasn’t until my late teens and adulthood that I feel I really started to understand that my faith was a relationship with Jesus more than just a religion. It was a rocky faith journey until my early 30s. It was at this time, that I became committed and served in my church and became part of a small bible study with other single women.
What led me here started in 2016 with the passing of my sister from complications due to alcoholism. Grief shows you a side of Jesus that you would never know otherwise. It drew me closer. As I drew closer to Jesus, I started looking at my life and telling God that I didn’t want the second half of my life to be like the first half. I wanted to serve Him in whatever capacity He needed. This led me to Global School of Supernatural Ministry, which has been a major point of transformation in my life. Jesus has done a work in me to solidify my identity in Him. It was at school that I felt a call to full time missions work. I didn’t know what it looked like, but early in the second year, I told Jesus that He had my yes. I wanted to give him a committed yes for all the “no’s” he has received.
I knew from worship and prayer times that some of us felt a call to human trafficking. When the second-year practicum trips were being planned, I just didn’t feel peace with my first choice. We were told that if our plane tickets weren’t purchased, we could still change to another trip. Thailand had come up again as a trip option. I remember emailing and telling my leaders that if Thailand was still an option that I wanted to be a part of the trip.
That trip did happen and ended up being a solo trip for me. Having the 30-day trip to serve with an organization in Bangkok that deals with anti-human trafficking efforts in March 2025 was really the confirmation I needed. I felt at home, not just because of how nice everyone was, but it was a group of people that did ministry and service in a way that I felt a connection with. The city felt like home. Also, my name is a Thai word, which means good. That is just an odd coincidence or God. You decide.
What I bring to my calling is a love for Jesus and people. I love to sit and just talk with people, which is why language school to learn Thai is part of my agenda. My skills are relational and pastoral. I am a teacher that loves small group discipleship interactions. Being a third culture kid doesn’t hurt either. My father was in the military which led us to live in Germany for 8 years. I have learned over the years how much of a strength this is. New environments, countries, people are wonderful learning experiences. Another strength is my ability to be alone.
