Dipendra Lama – Missionary from Nepal
My name is Dipendra Lama, and I come from Nepal. I was not born into a Christian family, but when missionaries came to our village, my parents courageously chose to follow Christ, becoming the first Christians in our area. Growing up in a community where most practiced Hinduism and Buddhism, I often felt isolated, yet God’s guidance and protection were always with me.
My parents planted a small church, and their faith and sacrifice deeply shaped my heart. In 2019, I stepped into missionary work, trusting God even without formal theological training. I spent two years encouraging believers and helping plant churches in remote villages, discovering my passion for evangelism and discipleship.
Despite financial struggles—working as a chef to support myself—I felt God calling me to serve the unreached. Eventually, I studied at a Bible college in Nepal, completing four years of theological training and deepening my calling to minister to remote communities.
Today, my wife and I are dedicated to teaching, discipling, and supporting believers in Nepal’s villages, standing alongside them in faith and community. I cannot imagine life without sharing God’s Word, and I am committed to seeing more people in Nepal and beyond come to know His love.
