Hello! We are Ella and Yohan, and thank you for wanting to join our partnership team! We are full time missionaries with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), based out of Kona, Hawaii to disciple people from all over the world by leading and developing teams to reach the Pacific and beyond! Our passion it to see the Great Commission fulfilled as we partner with His church, organisations and ministries!
Matthew 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Growing up in complete ends of the world, they crossed paths whilst serving in YWAM and grew in their heart for missions, culture, reconciliation and service! They currently provide leadership within multiple missionary training programs, worship and intercessory ministry, local community initiatives and youth development!
Ella is one of five siblings that grew up in the beautiful bluegrass. She was raised on southern hospitality, Jesus, and family, growing up in the Christian Missionary Alliance which fueled her love for the nations, travel, and people.
Yohan is from Melbourne, Australia while his parents migrated from Sri Lanka! Growing up in a blended multicultural community, he developed a heart for deep intimacy and being known by God through serving with YWAM and locally in Australia.
What is YWAM?
YWAM is a global Christian missions organization, operating in 1,000+ locations in over 180 countries through three main areas – Evangelism, Training, and Mercy Ministries. Our goal is to know God and make Him known.
What is DTS?
Discipleship Training School (DTS), is the first step of becoming a long term missionary with YWAM. This school is six months long consisting of three months of training and three months of outreach.
Why Kona, Hawaii?
At YWAM Ships Kona our heart is to reach the isolated islands of the Pacific and Kona is the best launchpad for us to do so. Rich with Hawaiian culture and an optimal location to launch teams to the islands we develop teams to bring education, healthcare, and the gospel to the isolated.
