Greetings! Our names are Eric and Elizabeth Malgren. We have been married for 38 years and have six children. Eric grew up in Seattle, WA while Elizabeth was born and raised in Ghana, W. Africa, the child of missionary parents. While our children were growing up, we were actively involved in local Christian ministries, working with church and student programs as well as campground maintenance.
In 2024, we visited our oldest son, who was helping to staff a YWAM mission base in Peru. YWAM (Youth with a Mission) is a global outreach program with bases all around the world that share the goal “To Know God and Make Him Known.” We prayed about using YWAM as a starter base for overseas missions and enrolled in their Discipleship Training School (DTS). It was while we were there that we felt God calling us to to be YWAM missionaries to Latin America.
In August 2026, we will leave the U.S. and fly to Lima, Peru. Some of our responsibilities will include office administration, DTS, evangelism and outreach, building maintenance, and assisting with hospitality. There will also be opportunities to attend language school, something we’ve been praying about. We are excited about what lies ahead and believe the best is yet to come!
Please pray that God will use us to reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Also, pray that we will be a positive influence for good in the lives of people we meet.
