Hi! My name is Emma Foster. I’m 23 years old, originally from Oregon, and I recently returned to the U.S. after serving as a missionary with The World Race for the past three years. During that time, I traveled around the world to share the Gospel and make disciples.
WHO AM I?
When I was 18 and a freshman at Grand Canyon University, I walked through a difficult season. I felt isolated, struggled with my faith, and was unsure of where God was leading me. Everything shifted when I encountered the love of Jesus at a Brave Love event with Circuit Riders. I rededicated my life to Christ, experienced physical healing, and found the Christ-centered community I had been praying for. From there, the Lord began to rewrite my life.
By my sophomore year, I sensed a strong call to missions. My younger brother was serving with The World Race, and I felt stirred to take a step of faith. I joined a two-month mission trip to Guatemala, and during that time, the Lord confirmed that missions was not simply an experience—it was a long-term calling.
That step led me to join an 11-month Expedition trip through Kenya, Uganda, Nepal, India, Turkey, and the Republic of Georgia. It became one of the most transformative seasons of my life. God deepened my faith, stretched me as a leader, and gave me an even greater heart for the nations. I also transferred to Portland Bible College to build a stronger foundation in Scripture and theology.
I completed Expedition in July 2025. That season was truly life-changing, filled with growth, deep community, and countless opportunities to see God move across cultures.
WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING?
When I first created this account, my plan was to join YWAM Circuit Riders in Huntington Beach, California, for its six-month Discipleship Training School beginning in January 2026. I was excited to receive further discipleship, missions training, and practical experience in campus outreach.
Circuit Riders has played a significant role in my journey with Jesus since college, and I am incredibly grateful for the way God has used this ministry in my life.
But God had another chapter in mind.
After returning from Expedition, I was invited to serve at Training Camp as a Serve Team Leader. In that role, I helped disciple volunteers, support staff, and others who were preparing to serve. During that time, The World Race Leadership Team was praying for new squad leaders, and I sensed God gently inviting me to pray about stepping into that role.
As I prayed, I experienced an unexpected peace. Saying yes felt like agreeing to coffee with a close friend—natural, joyful, and free from striving. After receiving confirmation through prayer, wise counsel, and conversations with trusted leaders, it became clear that God was redirecting me:
➡️ From Circuit Riders to squad leading
➡️ From being trained to training others
➡️ From being sent to helping send others
I completed that season in May 2026 after serving as a Squad Leader with World Race Gap Year C. I had the privilege of discipling and leading young adults as we served in Colombia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and South Africa.
Looking back, I am incredibly grateful for how God used that season to grow me in humility, leadership, and dependence on Him. It was a gift to watch the young adults I led encounter Jesus, grow in confidence, and step more fully into their own callings.
JOINING CIRCUIT RIDERS
This October 2026, I will be moving to Huntington Beach, California, to join the CR Experience, a six-month Discipleship Training School with YWAM Circuit Riders.
For the first eight weeks, I will spend each day growing deeper in my relationship with Jesus through discipleship, prayer, worship, biblical teaching, and leadership development. I will then participate in an eight-week outreach, traveling to college and high school campuses either across the United States or internationally. During this outreach, our team will share the Gospel and equip students to boldly live for Jesus.
Circuit Riders has played a significant role in my journey with Jesus since college, and I am excited to return—not only as someone receiving discipleship, but also as someone being equipped to help reach this generation with the hope of the Gospel.
My heart is to see young people encounter Jesus, be discipled, and become lifelong followers of Christ who make disciples wherever God sends them.
WHY THIS MATTERS
This is not a spontaneous adventure or a temporary trip.
This is obedience.
This is discipleship.
This is leadership.
This is the call of God on my life.
I want to lead with humility, grace, and excellence—calling those around me higher and continually pointing them to Jesus.
I cannot do this alone, and I do not believe God intended me to. Every missionary is sent by a community of believers who faithfully pray, encourage, give, and participate in what God is doing.
I am building a team of people who will stand with me through prayer, encouragement, and financial partnership. When you partner with me, you are not simply helping fund a trip. You are joining in the work of sharing the Gospel, discipling young people, and sending followers of Jesus into schools, communities, cities, and nations.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are three ways you can partner with me in this season:

Please pray for courage, clarity, wisdom, and a greater awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence as I continue to grow, lead, and disciple others.
Pray for protection, unity, provision, and open hearts in every school, community, city, and nation our team enters.
2️⃣ Share
Share this page with friends, family members, pastors, churches, or anyone who has a heart for missions and reaching the next generation.
One conversation or shared connection can make a greater impact than we may ever realize.
3️⃣ Give
My remaining financial need for this six-month mission is $9,000, which includes:
- $3,000 for outreach ministry expenses, due September 18, 2026
- $6,000 for flights to and from California, outreach travel, local transportation, groceries, dorm supplies, toiletries, and other personal living expenses
