“I have chosen you” These words clearly stuck in my mind as I was driving home. I was 19 and had just preached a message at youth group that evening. I was telling God how much I enjoyed the evening and loved working with these amazing students. As I finished, these words stayed, “I have chosen you.” I was humbled and wondering, God what have you chosen me for? I am 26 now and this moment as I was driving home still sticks out as one of the most formative moments as a young adult. As I started to equip myself and walk in the direction of full time missions, I began to uncover that his choosing of me for this avenue of ministry had very little to do with me and much more to do with Him!
Radical Love, Beautiful Living
Through my time being a missionary I can tell you that this path we walk with Jesus is a strangely beautiful one! I am passionate about helping others discover the beautiful, active God who created them and for them to receive the freedom that can change the way they see and live their life! I believe that once you have truly encountered God’s radical love, consequently the way you live reflects the beauty of God and his audacious love for the world.
I have had the joy of being a full time missionary with YWAM [youth with a mission] in Ensenada Mexico for the last three years and have been involved with YWAM since I was eight. After much prayer and seeking the Lord’s heart, he has directed me to serve with a new base with YWAM in Italy full time. This base has a call to see revival happen in Italy and within Europe. They seek to engage people, especially youth with the gospel through avenues very approachable to Italian culture including art, music and the ministry of hospitality.
To Know God and Make Him Known
This base runs many ministries from local ministry that engages with the church and community, to schools that train, disciple and send out teams to share the Gospel in other countries. Two Discipleship Training Schools are run in the year that focus on equipping youth to share the Gospel and grow in their relationship with God. They also run a Bible School were students study through the whole Bible in three months! The goal of each of these ministries is summarized in YWAM’s mission statement: To know God and Make Him Known.
