Located in the tranquil countryside just outside Medellín, Colombia, the Harvest House is a place of respite and renewal for Christian workers who seek restoration in the midst of their service. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Andes Mountains, this peaceful country home is designed as a sanctuary where pastors, missionaries, ministry leaders, and others serving in Christian vocations can pause, reflect, and recharge, both spiritually and physically.

The Harvest House exists to serve those who serve. Its mission is to provide a restful, nurturing environment for Christian workers who, in their dedication to the Kingdom of God, often find themselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained. Here, workers from all corners of the world can come to experience healing and restoration through prayer, reflection, and intentional rest, knowing that their time at the Harvest House will refresh them for continued service.
Vision Statement
Seek the Lord and you will find him. (Jeremiah 29:13) At the Harvest House workers of the harvest will be able to seek the Lord in a peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful atmosphere. With the fruit of the land hungry people will be fed and through this, people will encounter the love of God. (Matthew 25:40) It is our goal that everyone who comes to the Harvest House would receive something from the Lord so that they can give away what they have received.

WHO qualifies to use the Harvest House?
The Harvest House is designed to be used by people who are in Christian ministry. The goal is to make the Harvest House a place to use for anyone who works 20 or more hours a week in Christian ministry. Anyone in Christian ministry who does not work 20 or more hours a week can come and use it for a discounted price.
WHERE is the Harvest House located?
The Harvest House is located in Marinilla, Antioquia, Colombia. From Medellin it is about a 1.5 hour drive. It is also located 1.5 hours from El Peñol and Guatape, two of the most visited places by tourists in Colombia. (If you would like us to arrange tourist activities for you let us know.) The Harvest House is a short 30 min drive from the Rio Negro Airport.
HOW do I get transportation to and from the Harvest House?
From Medellin, a bus leaves the north terminal every 10 minutes and costs around 9 thousand Colombian Pesos ($2.50 USD). This bus will take you to the city of Marilla. From there you can get an Uber or taxi to the Harvest house for around 20 thousand pesos ($5 UDS) or less. From the airport, an uber or taxi will take you to the Harvest House for around 100 thousand Colombian Pesos ($25 USD). For those who are interested Jonathan and Amanda can arrange for private transportation as well that may vary in price from 150-300 thousand Colombian Pesos ($40-$85 USD).
WHAT is the cost?
Being missionaries ourselves, the Harvest House is only sustainable through donations. We would like to offer this space for free or for a small donation when possible. Operating expenses for the Harvest House when occupied are $25 (USD) a day for a family of 4. For stays more than 3 days operations costs are lower.
WHAT are the necessities to stay at the Harvest House?
Clothing- The temperature can fluctuate between a high of 75°F (24°C) and a low of 50°F (10°C). You will need clothes that will keep you warm enough in these temperatures. The sun is very strong in Marinilla due to the altitude being around 7,000ft (2,100m). Bring a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself when you’re outside. Comfortable shoes if you would like to walk around the property.
Misc- Bug spray and personal toiletries.
Food- Downtown Marinilla is about 10 minutes from the Harvest House. They have many wonderful restaurants and bakeries. Also they have grocery stores to buy anything you might need. Many of the restaurants and small grocery stores will deliver to the Harvest House for your convenience. You do not need to buy water for your stay, there is a filter system that you can drink from but do not drink water from the faucets. If you have additional questions about the food and planning meals you can let us know and we can help with some suggestions and ideas.
Do I need to know Spanish to come and enjoy the Harvest House?
The short answer is no. Although a little knowledge of Spanish would be helpful, it is not necessary to come and enjoy your stay. If you need to communicate, any translation application will work fine. Also, Ubers are available to transport you to and from the Harvest House so you would not need to speak Spanish to a taxi driver.
