Bringing the Hope of Christ to Communities in Crisis
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my page. I am grateful for the opportunity to share this mission with you and for every prayer, gift, and word of encouragement that helps bring the love of Christ to people in the midst of disaster.
My name is Janice Lynn, and I am from Rhode Island. For as long as I can remember, it has been on my heart to love and serve others. When I learned about disaster relief ministry, I knew this was where the Lord was calling me. For the past three years, I have had the privilege of serving in this work, going into places of deep need and walking alongside individuals and families facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I believe God has called me to be present in those moments with compassion, faith, and a willing heart.
This ministry means so much to me because my heart breaks for people who are suffering great loss. In the middle of disaster, people are often overwhelmed, grieving, and unsure of what comes next. It is deeply meaningful to me to be available to love and serve them in those moments. I feel honored to show up and bring hope to families who are hurting. Some of the most meaningful moments in this ministry are when I am able to sit with people, listen to their stories, and offer prayer, comfort, and encouragement. My prayer is that through every conversation, every act of service, and every moment of support, people would experience the love of Christ and know they are not alone. To make this vision a reality I anticipate needing approximately $3,500 a month.

Many times, after the work is done, the tree cutters will carve a simple cross into the stump before they leave.
