Campus Minister | Worship Leader | Digital Content Creator
Hi, I’m Jasmin!
My Story
When I was 15-years-old, my mother gave me a Teen Study Bible for Christmas. It was the Christmas gift I was most excited about that year, and I thought to myself, “If I’m this excited about getting a Bible for Christmas, I should become a minister when I grow up.” More than a witty, fleeting thought from my own imagination, that was a deep desire and calling placed in my heart by God Himself–one He would confirm in many other ways that year as well.
That’s why I’ve felt called by God since the age of 15 to devote my life to being a minister of the gospel–to be a shepherd of His people, a teacher of His Word, an intercessor in prayer, and to minister through music. I said yes to His call back then, and by His grace I haven’t looked back. He’s allowed me to be mentored in and to serve in preaching and teaching, discipleship, prayer, and music and media ministries in some capacity, either as a volunteer or as my occupation, since high school. Today, I am a minister and Bible teacher, podcaster/blogger, and digital content creator, singer-songwriter, and worship leader. My greatest passion in life is to know and love Jesus deeply and help others do the same.
I was born into a Christian family and raised in New York City, so I’ve always carried a unique mix of passion for Jesus and the Church with a love for the arts and culture. My fascination with performing arts, the music industry, and a deep desire to minister through Christian music and media led me to attend college in New Haven, CT where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Industry and Sound Recording. I was also heavily involved as a student leader in my college ministry serving in worship, prayer, discipleship, and preaching throughout my undergraduate studies. Through that experience, God planted a passion in my heart to invest in the spiritual growth of college students/young adults that continues to this day.
My Ministry
Now I live in Kansas City, MO, where I relocated in 2015 to work in full-time ministry. As a campus minister and worship leader with RIF CAMPUS, I give leadership to our student training programs, lead worship and direct our worship ministries, and oversee community life for our college ministry staff. I also have the privilege of mentoring the next generation, by training them in prayer, worship, and other practical ministry skills, teaching the Bible, interceding in prayer for college campuses, and doing one-on-one and small group discipleship.
With that foundation of in-person ministry in place, the Lord invited me to step into online ministry as well. In 2016, I started a podcast, blog, and social media platform called Everyday Walk, which provides practical Bible teaching to guide and equip believers in their everyday walk with Jesus. My mission through each podcast episode is to clarify biblical topics, answer frequently asked questions about the Christian life, and craft thoughtful conversations at the intersection of arts, culture, and faith. And my prayer is that the Lord uses this platform to equip Christians to faithfully follow Jesus in everyday life and lead seekers to saving faith in Jesus.
In addition to running the podcast, I get to serve the Christian music industry as a staff writer at NewReleaseToday, where I interview Christian artists and write album reviews and song devotionals about Christian music. I was also a staff writer at Marked Ministry Magazine from 2020-2022, where I wrote about faith and culture. I was privileged to release my debut EP of original songs, All For You, to streaming services in June 2021. And I formally received my credentials an ordained minister of the gospel in May 2024 with Christ For The Nations Network.
My Calling
I hold these two things as deep convictions:
First, the young adult years–especially college years–are critical to the spiritual growth of a person and often set the tone for the future of their lives in God. In a cultural moment when many are writing off the next generation as hopeless, I am seeing the move of God in young adults firsthand, locally and across the nation, as He stirs moves of salvation, baptism, discipleship, worship, and prayer on college campuses and is turning the heart of a generation to Jesus.
This generation desperately needs spiritual mothers, fathers, and shepherds to come alongside them and invest in them so they can become all God intends for them to be. God has marked me as a shepherd and spiritual mother to the next generation, and it is a deep joy to serve them in that way.
Secondly, media is often considered a dark place to be abandoned, but the masses from across the nations are gathered online and cultural conversations are happening on digital platforms daily. Media is yet another field in which the Church can, and must, fulfill The Great Commission. I am called by God to preach the gospel and make disciples in the digital mission field, teaching those who believe to obey the commands of Jesus.
My Team
As I devote myself to the work God has called me to do, I rely on the generosity of a team of prayer and monthly financial supporters so that I can fulfill all God has assigned me to do for the glory of Jesus and the building up of His Church! Thank you for investing in me and what God is doing in this hour as I obey God’s calling on my life. Serving God and His people is my greatest joy and highest privilege and I could not do it without you!
“…I have been sent to proclaim faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives.” (Titus 1:1)
