Born and Born Again

Though I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home in Fayetteville, North Carolina, I did not fully commit my life to following Jesus until 2022.

That year, I took a leap of faith and joined a Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Italy. During my training, I had the opportunity to travel to Cambodia for the first time, and it was there that God placed a deep calling on my heart to serve and share His love with the people of this nation.

Now, I live and serve full-time with YWAM in Poipet, Cambodia. My ministry involves teaching English, sharing the Gospel, and disciplining those hungry to know God better. I am passionate about equipping others to experience God’s love, grow in their faith, and become part of His transformative work in Cambodia. Every day, I am blessed to see lives changed by His grace, and I am excited for all He will continue to do in this nation.

I am incredibly grateful for the prayers and support of those who stand with me in this mission. Your encouragement strengthens me as I continue to follow God’s call.

If you want to partner in prayer, give, or learn more about how God is moving in Cambodia, I would love to connect with you. Together, we can make an eternal impact for His Kingdom!

The Lord is our shepherd.

These are the hands of a man in an isolated village in southwestern Cambodia. The first day I met him, his speech was slurred, and even with my limited Khmer knowledge, I could see he struggled with communication. He spoke randomly and did not complete his thoughts, which also seemed to affect his young son.

My team and I sat with him, ate fruit, and did our best to understand and love him well, praying for him as we left.

Maybe four days later, we revisited his home, and he was drastically different. He was dressed differently, far easier to understand, and had a peaceful smile. Through my rough translation, he explained that he loved God and had a Bible, but could not read well. My team urged me to read Psalm 23 in Khmer to him since I had been practicing reading that for the past few days. So, stumbling through reading Khmer, we read God’s word together. I translated the passage, and he helped me say words when he could figure out what I was trying to say. In the end, he teared up and gave me a big hug.

God does work and bless people in the big and small. He’s a good shepherd.
