We (Jorge & Ruth) met at while serving at an evangelistic camp in Catalonia, Spain and after getting married returned to join full time. Our journey, as a result of saying yes to God, has led to many other ministry opportunities in our 17 years serving in Spain. Through gospel choir concerts, English as a second language courses, horse camps, pastoral ministry, Alpha dinners, deliverance sessions, and life groups at church, God has used us to share the gospel, disciple and train believers.
Spain is a country of less than 1% evangelicals but we have recently found the Spaniards are hungry for the true gospel. We are currently focusing on our passions, street evangelism and small group discipleship.
Ruth is the founder of “Fountain of Hope,” a non-for profit Spanish association that uses horses to help hurting people find healing and hope in an encounter with Christ.
Fountain of Hope was birthed out of a desire to use my Equine Science degree and many years of experience as a trainer and riding instructor to help others. I have seen how God can use horses as a tool to bring healing, peace and hope to children, youth and adults who have experienced trauma, rejection or isolation. We are currently raising funds to purchase a property in Catalunya in order to begin building fences, recruiting volunteers and finding horses to complete the team!
