Hi! We’re the Beckstrom Family: Dan, Rebecca, Josiah, and Jeremiah.
God birthed the Lighthouse in our home in August 2023 after a ten-year journey of His unfolding plan for this ministry. Our hearts burn for revival in Gen Z and on the college campuses in our area! Located in Bridgewater, VA, we are within walking distance to Bridgewater College and just a short drive from James Madison University and Eastern Mennonite University.
As we believe that God works through families, The Lighthouse is one big family, a “home away from home” for college students, as well as a revival community for young adults, teenagers and “tweens.” As a large group, we meet weekly and worship our hearts out, break bread together, pray for each other, and learn from each other. Throughout the week, we forge relationships with individuals and smaller groups through everyday life and book/Bible studies. Discipleship looks like one-on-one coffee dates and doing life together. We hit the college campuses to pray for and bless the students and participate in 12-hour worship “burns” on two of the local campuses.
In our first year of ministry, we have had a front row seat to watching God bring revival to the Shenandoah Valley! We’ve seen physical healings, salvations, baptisms (in water and Spirit), and inner healing/ deliverances! Our home is right across the street from a river where we baptized six college students/young adults so far in 2024. We’ve watched Jesus ignite many hearts into passionate hearts centered on Him! And we’ve heard testimony after testimony of God’s goodness through the relationships formed at The Lighthouse!
Please pray for the Lighthouse as we enter our second year of ministry. Discipleship is really on our hearts for the 2024-25 school year. Rebecca also has a deep passion for inner healing prayer ministry and has been trained in multiple inner healing prayer modalities. She is excited to facilitate prayer sessions this year.
Please also pray about financially supporting us either through a one-time gift or monthly. Looking ahead here are some dreams/things we would love to have the funds for:
-We have dreams to move forward in the word that God has given us to mother and father a generation of worshipers and musicians. Dan can teach guitar lessons but we would also love to bring in teachers for keyboard and drums.
