My name is Nick Swinford and the Lord has given me a heart for the local church and their leadership. With over ten years of ministry experience and leadership roles, my goal is to invest in local leadership to further the Kingdom of God. My story is unique with having a legacy background of pastoral roles of the men who went before me. I have church leaders on both sides of my family that date back to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Through the lens of a family in leadership I have seen the toll that ministry, if not cultivated properly, can and will stir destruction in the local family. My wife, Bayley, and I along with our four kids wish to help local church leadership by providing rest, direction, and longevity in ministry.

Mission
We exist to help resource the local church, so that the Church can be a PILLAR and foundation of the truth. (1 Timothy 3:15)
Method
Pillar Ministries will accomplish this through three areas:
First, we will provide part time interim work for Pastors and Worship Pastors, to allow them to rest and retreat from the demands of ministry and to focus on their relationship with the Lord and their families.
Second, we will also offer one on one Spiritual Direction for men and couples to relieve the demand on Pastors in Churches.
Third, we will continually develop and provide Spiritual Leadership Training for Lay Leaders in local Churches.
Motivation
Through the love of Christ we want to provide haven and rest for the under resourced local church and its leaders, so the physical body of Christ can grow.
