Hello, beloved friends!
We are Nurilyn (Noa) and Christopher (Chris), a married couple from the Philippines, called by God’s grace to be part of the groundwork for harvest and revival in Japan and across Asia.
Noa first came to Japan in 2018 to earn a living and support her family. She was an English teacher in Japan for five years. However, God had a greater plan. Meanwhile, Chris was pastoring a church he pioneered in the Philippines for seven years. After a six-year long-distance relationship, we married in 2023. In 2024, God opened the way for Chris to receive the same visa as Noa’s (residential visa) as a Japanese descendant, allowing us to be reunited not only as husband and wife but also as partners in Kingdom work in this nation.
Currently, we serve at Awakening Tokyo Church. This year, we are stepping into full-time ministry and internship under the mentorship of Pastor Esther Morishita, one of the founders of the Awakening Asia movement. We are working closely with her in preparing for the upcoming stadium event, Awakening Japan 2026—a movement aiming to unite local churches across the nation to be equipped for evangelism, flooding the streets of Tokyo with the gospel and bringing souls back to the Father. We believe this vision from God will transform Japan from a nation with less than 1% Christian population into a Christian nation.
Our mission also focuses on worship ministry: training and equipping students at the Awakening Asia School of Ministry (AASM) in worship, embracing the Levitical call to host the presence of God in Japan.
Additionally, Noa co-leads the ministry’s Outreach Team, spreading the gospel and witnessing revival as we see salvations every week in the heart of Tokyo—something unheard of for many years. Together, we have the privilege of leading one of our church’s home groups, helping raise healthy, surrendered lovers of Jesus in Japan.
Over the past year in ministry school, we’ve realized that God’s purposes for the nations are too great for us to remain in our comfort zones. We’ve witnessed enough signs and wonders to declare that revival is breaking out in this nation, and we are so blessed to have said YES to Heaven’s invitation!
To walk in full-time ministry, we’re trusting God, to be able to raise a monthly support of ¥400,000 or 2780 USD or 154, 900 Pesos. This will cover our monthly living expenses in Tokyo and our domestic mission trips in preparation for the stadium event.

Regarding the Awakening Japan 2026 event, it’s a significant initiative aimed at uniting churches across Japan for a large-scale evangelistic gathering in Tokyo. The movement is spearheaded by Awakening Asia, founded by Pastors Masamitsu and Esther Morishita in 2019. They were sent by Ben Fitzgerald, the founder of Awakening Europe, with a vision to ignite revival in Asia, starting with Japan.
