FOR GOD SO LOVED KOREA 🇰🇷🤍
Hi friends! I moved to Busan, South Korea in 2022 and committed 3 years to the Lord as a full-time missionary to this nation. Me and my church are pioneering a ministry called Newport Bridge Ministry and our vision is to be a bridge to North Korea, bridge to the next generation and bridge for Koreans to go to the nations!
- Bridge to North Korea – We do weekly house visits with North Korean defector families in southern Busan, where hundreds of defectors live. We not only serve them meals, but also medical devices, house items, toys for kids, Bibles, etc. and share the love and gospel of Jesus. Our heart is to serve the defectors in the South and see generations of their family come to the Lord. We believe God is raising up a reunification generation (통일 세대), who will be the bridge to connect North and South Koreans with the gospel in a reunified Korea.
- Bridge to Next Generation – We worship and evangelize on colleges in Busan (Changshin, Pusan National University, Inje University, etc.) and also minister to middle/high school students in local churches in Busan. Despite statistics saying that the youth in Korea are leaving the church, we’ve seen students and professors alike come to the Lord and go out with a heart for their campus! The harvest is ripe in the youth and next generation of Korea!
- Bridge to Nations – We are passionate about the Great Commission and sending Koreans to the nations. With this heart, we go on faith mission trips four times a year to nations such as Jordan, Lebanon, Thailand, Philippines, Kenya and Ethiopia 🇯🇴🇱🇧🇹🇭🇵🇭🇰🇪🇪🇹 We’ve seen salvations, healings and deliverances and also partnered with mercy ministries amidst national crises. Our mission trips are usually 1-2 weeks long and are open to everyone!
I also host outreach teams from international ministries such as YWAM Kona 🇺🇸 and Dunamis Greenhouse 🇧🇷 with a heart to serve as a bridge for missionaries to jump in with what God is doing here in Korea! I believe with all my heart, now is Korea’s KAIROS TIME and we will see the greatest harvest and missions movement in human history in this hour unto the return of JESUS! Why do I do what I do?
The love of Jesus hasn’t just changed my life, it IS life. The gospel has made me into a new creation, the old is dead and gone, and the new has come! It is my joy to dedicate my life to testify to this good news whether through local evangelism, international outreaches, spreading the Kingdom of God in my school or workplace—all expressions of love to make His name known.
I received this call to be a missionary when I was 19 years old—to make His name known in all nations and all spheres of society until He returns during my Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Kona. After graduation, God led me to staff the first Fire and Fragrance DTS in South America with Dunamis Movement and see a youth missions movement in Brazil! 🇧🇷 From 2017—2023, I’ve had the privilege of being sent to 10 nations across Asia, South America and the Middle East, led local outreach efforts in the U.S. and South Korea and moved 13 times!
I do what I do because Jesus is my highest example. His life as a man on Earth recorded in Scripture shows us how we should live and also how we should die—in order to truly live in Him. He ascended back into heaven and sent us His Holy Spirit to empower us to do greater works than He did. I have set out “to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work” (John 4:34), the Great Commission, to “make disciples of all nations” so that EVERY SOUL would know and experience his SAVING LOVE THAT SETS US FREE!!!
