Parker Zhou – Missionary Bio
Parker Zhou is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ with a passion for sharing the gospel, especially with the unreached. Raised by a single mother and baptized at age nine, Parker’s early faith was tested in unimaginable ways. From the age of 13 to 17, he suffered from a debilitating illness—Amplified Musculoskeletal Pain Syndrome—that left him bedridden and in constant, excruciating pain. During this dark season, Parker wrestled with God, questioned His goodness, and ultimately abandoned his faith, embracing atheism as a response to suffering.
But God never abandoned Parker.
After years of hopelessness, Parker experienced a brief respite from pain, which ignited a desperate search for meaning. That search led him back to the truth of the gospel. Through the faithful pursuit of Jesus, Parker found not only salvation but also healing—both spiritually and physically. By the fourth year of his illness, he surrendered to Christ as Lord and Savior, and in time, the Lord healed his pain completely.
Two years later, while participating in 21 days of prayer and fasting at his church, Parker asked the Lord, “What do You want me to do?” The answer was clear: “Mission trip.” Deeply moved by God’s direct leading,
Parker began praying over where to go. All doors remained closed except one—Japan. Within two months, the funds were raised, and Parker was on a plane to Asia, walking in obedience to the Lord’s call.
Today, Parker serves with boldness and compassion, carrying a testimony of suffering redeemed and a heart set on reaching the lost in Japan with the hope of Jesus Christ.
