Francisco Santos, his wife Wanice, and their children, Ana Beatriz and Apolo, serve as missionaries in Maranhão, Brazil, especially in Esperantinópolis and nearby communities. Since coming to Christ at the age of thirteen, Francisco has carried a deep burden for evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. After seminary and ordination, he has served the Lord for more than sixteen years as an ordained pastor.
Their ministry focuses on house-to-house evangelism, street preaching, discipleship of new believers, and the training of local leaders. They also reach children, teenagers, and young people through soccer outreach, using one of Brazil’s greatest passions as an opportunity to build relationships and share the gospel.
By God’s grace, Francisco began a congregation in a small village nineteen years ago that continues serving the Lord today. In Esperantinópolis, the Santos family has helped revitalize two congregations and plant two more. They are now preparing to plant a third church in a nearby city.
Their current needs include a physical space for youth soccer outreach, leadership training for a new church plant, and two additional sound systems so that three evangelistic teams can serve weekly in different locations.
The Santos family is seeking long-term partners who will pray, give, and stand with them as they proclaim Christ, disciple believers, train leaders, and plant churches in Brazil. They also invite supporters from the United States to visit the mission field, see the work personally, and rejoice in what the Lord Jesus is doing by His grace.
