My name is Sarah Willimas, and I am living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I have been here for 9 years- and most of those 9 years I was living and working like any normal person here would. I taught English at English Course and at schools. I used this time to share the gospel and lived intentionally discipling people around me.
2 Years ago I began working with a missionary agency here in Rio called “Ahmal Global” and began feeling the Lords calling to working full time in missions, and specifically with “the least of these”, which here in Rio is in the favelas. I began working with another Organization (while still working at the missionary school) called “Mahilah and Co.” Where we are working in the most vulnerable communities doing anti- human trafficking work.
In April of this year I knew that I couldn’t do both: work full time and devote myself full time to missions. The Lord let me to quit and now I am working and devoting all my time to missions. I am also involved in my church, teaching english and hosting a small group Bible study every week. The Lord has been faithful and in plenty or in little I have learned to be content! Because it’s not his resources that we Love, but it is HIM that we love. And it is not (just) resources that move us, but it is His love that moves us!
