One day I’ll step away from public education and coaching…..
One day the timing with be just right….
One day I’ll step out of the boat and take a risk….
One day I’ll pursue deep desires that He has given me…..
One day I’ll fulfill what I know God has asked of me…..
One day is what I kept telling myself….
That eventually it would all happen. But I think more times than not God is waiting on us. Yes, He is sovereign and somethings just happen because He is just that good, but we must chose to play a part. He’s waiting for us to pick up our cross and run after Him. Each one of us have a high call on our life and sadly many will lay dormant because we are so focused on ourselves or we are waiting on Him to do all the work. James 2:26 tells us that Faith without works is dead! We must actively pursue Him with our whole heart and actively listen for His voice. It’s our choice. Who will answer the whisper that calls out to us? He longs for us to step into Him and everything He has in store for us! The truth is we only have one life to live and it’s our job to make sure it’s a life worthy of His sacrifice!
He promises us more than we could ever ask, think, dream, or imagine. He wants to blow our minds but how much space in our life do we give him? The word tells us to redeem the time for the days are evil, today is the day. The time is NOW!
If there is something God has put on your heart go after it, don’t hold back. We are not promised tomorrow.
I say all of this to say I am super excited to share that I have given my resignation as a volley coach and elementary PE teacher to move to South Africa for a year to finally pursue all that He has put in my heart. I will be joining Iris Global’s wonderful team at their Footprints base in Johannesburg!
In this home our focus is the kids. We have anywhere from 30-40 children and some adults that live there and all have a unique testimony of how the Lord brought them there. During my time I will helping with day to day care for the kids and variety of other opportunities to love on the people of Johannesburg and to be His hands and feet.
- Homeschooling for the younger children
- Feeding program
- Hospital ministry
- Being involved/volunteering in the school that the older children attend
- Donation distribution
- Community Outreaches
- Leading meetings at local churches
- And of course praying and preaching God’s goodness to those we come in contact with
