hi, I’m Simone!
This fall, I’ve been given the opportunity to serve with a team in Caen, France, helping to establish a prayer room within a local church community.
For the past three years, I’ve worked as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit—a role that has stretched me, challenged me, and grown my capacity to love and serve. Caring for precious premature and sick babies, and walking alongside their families through every obstacle, has been a great honor.
In January 2024, I felt the Lord stirring a desire in my heart to step deeper into ministry and into His Word. I didn’t know how that would look while working full-time as a nurse, until a friend told me about a short term discipleship and ministry school in France focused on prayer, worship, creative workshops, and fellowship around the table. I spent three weeks in France, and was deeply moved by my time there. The rhythms of prayer and worship there left me with a longing to return and be part of what God was doing.
Since then, two leaders from the school have moved full-time to Caen to plant a prayer room and build community within the church. When the opportunity opened this spring to join them for three months, it felt like what could only be the Lord’s perfect timing.
I am so honored to get to serve and be a part of the Lord is doing in France however I can and wherever I am needed.
