Hello there!!
My name is Taylor and I am a missionary with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). I have been involved with this organization for 5 years. YWAM has provided many opportunities to grow in my identity and calling and reach the nations for the glory of God. I will use many acronyms in this bio, so bear with me, haha!
It all started by doing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) in England, which is a 5 month school of learning about the character and nature of God, diving into the Bible and learning more about relationship with the Lord. Following this school, I did a School of Ministry Development (SOMD) in Denver Colorado, which was a 3 month school that taught me about leadership and counseling within missions. I learned what it meant to be a stronger leader and how to thrive in missions. After that, I did a Discipleship Bible School (DBS) in Ensenada Mexico, which was an intensive study through the Bible, which was 3 months. We read all the way through the Bible and had teachings on each book. I ended up staying on staff in Ensenada Mexico for 2 years and was able to staff DTS twice, and lead 2 separate outreaches around Mexico and Thailand. I also had the opportunity to serve in a ministry called Mission Adventures, a youth program that lasts through spring and summer. It was a blessing to lead in these areas among many others, like base operations, building homes, working in the red light district, homeless ministry, and evangelism downtown.
I finished my School of Worship (SOW) with YWAM Kona which was 3 months! God spoke to me about fully stepping into this gift and passion He has placed on my heart in songwriting/worship leading. During my time there, I formed a deeper intimacy with God and was trained in how to lead others into genuine worship for His glory.
In Kona, I had the joy of crossing paths with 2 other people, Kalani and Shaylin, and we set out on a word of the Lord to write, record and release music in Amsterdam. He burdened our hearts to share the message of the great love and freedom we have found in Jesus, so we are doing just that! We will be joining staff for 2 years in Amsterdam this August of 2025 and will be involved in the newly pioneered SOW and YWAM Music Amsterdam (YMA) ministry on base as well as songwriting within our band, ‘Birdies.’ We’ve released 3 out of 5 songs so far and believe God will continue to inspire more songs as we are back together in Amsterdam!
Our heart is to see The Great Commission fulfilled through the sharing of music— as it is one of the many ways God reaches the heart of his people.
