My name is Theresa (Terri) Piper Isaacs, and I am excited to be serving as a missionary in Papua New Guinea (PNG) with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) ships. I was first called to missions in 1989 and have served short-term in Mexico, France, and Chad, Africa, before doing a YWAM ships outreach in PNG in 2025. I will be serving as the Medical Director aboard the m/v Liberty out of Madang, PNG, from June 2026 until June 2028.
I have been an RN for over 35 years and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for more than 17 years. I have worked in acute care, primary care, and hospice. My passion is sharing my medical knowledge to help relieve physical suffering, but more importantly, my faith, as that has an eternal impact. I have been “on the mission field” in the US throughout my working career and am grateful for the opportunity to use my vocation at the end of my career serving overseas.
I have twin daughters and four grandchildren, aged 14 to 22, and an Aussiedoodle named Winston. We love to camp, travel, and make memories in simple ways.
I am grateful for those who are partnering with me in this mission endeavor, and I trust that the Lord will use us all in mighty ways!
