Jennifer and Julian, along with their two children, Eva and Lucas, are serving in Medellín, Colombia, with a heart to make disciples, raise up leaders, strengthen the local church, and bring the hope of Jesus to a city in need of genuine transformation.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve Jesus in Medellín. God has given our family a deep desire to see people encounter Jesus, grow as His disciples, and become people who help others follow Him. As a family, we want to be used by God in every area of our lives and to live available to whatever He asks of us.
SIMPLE
Simple is our foundational discipleship community, centered on one simple desire: less religion, more Jesus.
We gather weekly to study Scripture, grow in our faith, ask honest questions, and learn what it actually looks like to follow Jesus. Our heart is especially for people who have been hurt by religion, disconnected from the church, or who have never encountered the gospel in a clear and authentic way.
From Simple, Ezer and Renacer have grown as women’s and men’s discipleship communities, creating space to go deeper in Christ, build authentic relationships, and raise up people who can disciple others.
We don’t want to simply gather people. We want to make disciples who make disciples.
SERVING THE LOCAL CHURCH
We also have a deep desire to serve and strengthen the local church in Medellín. We believe the local church is essential to what God is doing here, and we want to come alongside what He is already building through Colombian pastors, leaders, and congregations.
Julian is currently serving on the preaching rotation for both English- and Spanish-speaking congregations, creating opportunities to preach, teach, encourage believers, and serve alongside local pastors and leaders.
Our desire is not to build something separate from the Church, but to strengthen it—to serve wherever God opens the door and use what He has entrusted to us for the good of His people and the spread of the gospel.
OUR FAMILY ON MISSION
As a family, we desire to see discipleship multiply throughout Medellín. We want Eva and Lucas to grow up seeing what it looks like to follow Jesus with our whole lives—to love people, serve the Church, open our home, and say yes to God’s direction.
We believe transformed people transform families, communities, and cities.
PARTNER WITH US
We know we cannot do this alone, and we don’t believe everyone is called to participate in the same way.
Prayer is the pillar of this mission. We are deeply grateful for those who pray for our family, the people we are discipling, the churches and leaders we serve, and the people of Medellín who have yet to encounter Jesus.
For those God leads to financially partner with us, monthly support is especially meaningful because it gives us the consistency and freedom to dedicate our time to the people and ministry God has entrusted to us. It allows us to be available—to disciple, preach, serve, build relationships, and go where He opens the door.
We don’t want anyone to give out of obligation. We simply invite you to pray and ask Jesus:
“How do You want me to be part of what You are doing in Medellín?”
Whether through prayer, financial partnership, serving, or simply sharing what God is doing here, we are grateful for everyone who chooses to stand with us.
We can only do what God has called us to do through His grace and the power of His Holy Spirit. We are trusting Him to use our family, our community, and His Church to make Jesus known in Medellín.
