We are the Zitzmanns! We are currently serving as missionaries with Ignite South Africa as Hope Managers and Outreach Directors.
Where we serve (Qwa Qwa) has been called the poorest area of South Africa because of high unemployment and high rates of chronic hunger. In addition, 1 in every 4 children are orphaned in this area. Ignite has seen how orphaned and at-risk girls are vulnerable to sexual exploitation, abuse, and trafficking.
To respond to these circumstances, we will be helping Ignite with their Hope Programs. The programs include a pregnancy helpline, a maternity home (providing shelter, job skills training, mentoring, and support), a mobile pregnancy clinic, pregnancy and parenting classes, and training Life Leaders to share about God’s plan for life.
We also serve as Outreach Directors. We provide transportation, hospitality, and communication with mission teams and visiting individuals. Having been on trips ourselves, we are excited to help others lead successful ministry trips to South Africa where they can use their gifts as they are immersed in the culture and help expand the work of our local team!
