Hi! We are Andrew & Mikayla!

While working full time in our respective careers as a development and operations engineer and a physical therapist, we felt God calling us to missions. We took a class on how to be an everyday missionary and knew that was only the beginning. For years we felt called to go to Latin America and had many people speak missions prophetically over us. It felt like we could resist the call no longer and signed up for a Discipleship Training School with Youth With a Mission in 2022. We fell more in love with God and gave him our yes to go to the nations and serve however He calls us. We went on outreach to various communities in Peru and Mexico. God called us to stay long term in one of the communities we visited, to grow the ministry of Brazos Abiertos (Open Arms).

We believe God has a special plan for this community and that from this dusty landscape something beautiful is growing. We have been serving in full-time ministry for over a year now. Our focus is on restoring families, bringing education to children, and discipling people in an impoverished community of Lima. Some of the ministries include Sunday church services, worship nights, an adolescents group, after school programs, health education and access to therapy, house visits, evangelism, growing a garden, and English classes for kids and adults.
