After coming back from our honeymoon in South Korea in April 2024, we both felt a strong sense that the Lord was calling us to return in order to bring the Good News and hope of Jesus Christ to a lost nation.
After sharing our vision and heart with some friends last October, they challenged us with this question, “If God has truly called you to this, then what are you waiting for?” After taking some time to pray and seek the Lord’s counsel, we both received confirmation that God was calling us to go in the Fall of 2025.
Since then we have connected with several churches and organizations in South Korea where we have opportunities to serve and share Jesus’ love! Our passion is to reach all of Korea, with a desire specifically for the youth and young adults, many of whom have turned away from their faith or never received Jesus.
WHY KOREA?
The Korean peninsula is ripe with opportunity to share the gospel and spread the light of Christ. Korea, while appearing to be well-churched, has suffered from a litany of challenges over the last several decades, many of which have fostered a “de-churched” environment. In addition, Korea has some of the most prevalent struggles with depression and anxiety and has the 4th highest suicide rate in the world. There are intense societal and family pressures to succeed and a burden to fit this “perfect image”. There is a lack of strong community bonds and many are disconnected, isolated, and alone.
Our mission is to bring the hope and transformative love of Christ to Korea, addressing the spiritual and emotional needs of the nation. We desire to see the youth of South Korea awakened to God’s destiny for their lives.
Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
