What kinds of stories are they? Stories of annoyance, of falling in love, of disappointments, of loneliness, funny stories, or stories of adventure? What overall picture do they paint of your relationship?
The stories we tell about our relationship are very telling of our relationship. They not only tell past memories but they paint future expectations. In today’s session, we look at how we can build a positive narrative, cultivate feelings of fondness and admiration, and make sure our marriage stories are full of hope, gratitude, and grace. We can strengthen our marriages tremendously through the stories we choose to tell.
