Peter and Becky Clemison are passionate followers of Jesus who serve with Youth With A Mission in the Philippines, working to protect vulnerable children and strengthen families. As founders of 4Freedom Philippines, their calling is rooted in God’s heart for justice, compassion, and restoration.
A Calling from God
Peter and Becky first came to the Philippines in 2016 after over 6 years in South Africa, with a clear sense of God’s leading: to be His hands and feet among children and families living in crisis and affected by human trafficking. What began with small acts of service—mentoring youth, partnering with churches, and supporting survivors—grew into a vision to create community-based solutions that reflect God’s kingdom values and global partnerships with organizations like Alongsiders International and Safe Families for Children.
They believe that God places the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6), and that the Body of Christ is called to care for orphans, widows, and the vulnerable (James 1:27). Out of this conviction, they founded 4Freedom as a ministry of hope, healing, and restoration.
Faith in Action
The Clemisons’ work is grounded in prayer, discipleship, and trust in God’s provision. Their mission is to:

Reflect Christ’s Love – showing children that they are deeply valued and loved by God.

Strengthen Families – walking alongside parents in crisis so that homes can be restored and children can remain in loving care.

Mobilize the Church – equipping believers to live out the Gospel by providing safe, temporary care and support to families in need.

Bring Healing – using trauma-informed care to help children find healing.
Why They Serve
Peter and Becky have seen the deep brokenness caused by poverty, exploitation, and family breakdown—but they have also witnessed God’s power to restore lives. Their passion is to partner with Him in setting the captives free (Isaiah 61:1) and to see families transformed by the love of Christ.
They believe every child is made in the image of God and deserves the chance to flourish in safety, dignity, and hope.
