Stalin & Paige Solis
It's hard to imagine that we have been married for five years! But here we are, serving in full-time ministry together and it is the most wonderful feeling in the world. Our heart is to connect people to Jesus through a vibrant local church and reach the next generation. 2020 was full of surprises but none compares to what God has been able to do through his church. We have been working harder then ever to continue doing what we feel like God has called us to during this season. Together we plan to conquer the world, well at least Peru. But we can't do it without your help!
baby solis due may 2021!
Paige is currently 28 weeks prego & we are more excited than ever to share this news with you. You have been with us through highs and lows & we would be honored to have you walk with us during this next season of life. We are planning on having the baby in Peru & would love prayer for the whole process. The secret is out, we are having a little girl! Her name is ZION LUANN and we cannot wait to meet her! We would also really appreciate your prayers as we fundraise over the next several months. Our goal is to get $5,000 in monthly income by the end of March 2021. That sounds like a big goal but we know our God is able & we are expectante that God will provide. But we need your help. If you currently support us monthly we ask that you please reach out to someone you know that wants to support a missionary family & get them connected. If you do not currently support us we would ask that you prayerfully consider giving monthly. You can click the "DONATE TO STALIN AND PAIGE SOLIS" button above to start the process, or "VISIT OUR WEBSITE" to see more on what we do. We love you and will keep you updated on the baby + fundraising during this next season of life.
So who are Stalin and Paige?
We are passionate and excited about this journey that God has us on. We are both serving with our church, Camino de Vida, in Lima, Peru. CDV is a 30 year old church of over 15,000 people in the heart of the capital city of Lima. Serving under our pastors, Robert and Karyn Barriger has taught us so much about church and life on the mission field.
Hi I'm Stalin and I'm from Peru. I have always had a heart for ministry. Since I was very young, I would serve at church by hosting mission teams and teaching the Bible. I also went to Camino de Vida seminary, worked as a pastor’s assistant and served in the outreach ministry for many years. Currently Paige and I are having to work from home full-time because of the COVID situation here in Peru. Our church buildings are currently closed and have been since March 2020. Instead of seeing this as a limitation we have used this time as an opportunity for growth. I lead our Kids Club Ministry and since the mandatory quarantine hit we have moved all our serving opportunities online. This means that we have been able to set up tutors that call the children each week to help them with school work since they are not able to attend classes. We have also been able to provide a feeding program for them twice a week. I also translate for one of the missionaries (Pastor Al Furey from Australia) each Sunday for our Spanish/English online service. When we were able to travel I would translate for the pastors round tables/shops, Doing Church (Haciendo Iglesia)
that our church does all over Peru. CDV teaches other churches how to make their church more relevant to our time in order to reach the next generation. Our goal is to have 1,000 churches with 1,000 members nation-wide. This is beyond numbers, it's about bringing true change to the Peruvian society through thriving churches filled with people of every age.
Hey I'm Paige and I'm originally from Arkansas in the United States. I have been a missionary with CDV since 2013. After finishing 24/7 School of Ministry through Bayside Community Church in Florida I moved to Lima and committed to serving with CDV for 1 year. 7 years later, I'm still there! I have the privilege of being the director of Life Missions (the English side of our church) and host for the church’s mission teams throughout the year. As Stalin mentioned, this year has looked different because we have not been able to receive any short-term mission teams because of the mandatory lockdown. Instead we created something called Virtual Mission Trips where churches, small groups, or teams of people can have the same experience of a mission trip, all online! I've also had the honor of teaching in our IDL online program (our leadership school through CDV). I teach 4 workout classes a week and it always keeps me on my toes! So along with the things mentioned above plus being involved in 4 small groups per week (all online of course!) we stay pretty busy. Stalin and I also serve at 3 out of the 7 online services we have on Sundays. From the very beginning of the pandemic our pastors, Robert and Karyn, have encouraged the staff and volunteers to continue to stay engaged and that is exactly what we have done. We won't go back to having in church services until who knows when so we don't want to waste this time.
As a church we have been able to reach and serve over 174,399 people through different outreaches and programs since the pandemic hit in March 2020. We could not have done this without the partnership of people like you, who believe in what God is doing through the local church and missions around the world. Thank you for being part.
