I first got involved in missions when I was 19 dancing with a Christian ballet company. After my time with them ended I felt called to go to a DTS with YWAM. I grew up with a YWAM base close by to my home so I knew about it my whole life. Before I went to my first school with YWAM I had a feeling that I would be a part of this organization for much longer. My DTS was an incredible time of God speaking and healing my heart. I fell in love with going to the nations and sharing God’s love. The fastest way to explain Youth With A Mission is by their first two values: To know God and to make Him known. The next two years I staffed DTS and co led teams to Mexico, Zambia and Poland. During their outreaches I did all kinds of ministry from street evangelism, kids ministry, small groups, Bible studies, hospital ministry, working with refugees, construction, working in orphanages, teaching ballet classes and door to door evangelism. In Mexico I met my fiancé who also works with YWAM. Currently, we are both in Mexico with YWAM serving God. I have a heart for discipleship to see people recognize their true identity and to walk away from their previous hurt into freedom. I love seeing people realize who they are and what they are passionate about. I also love to serve with organizing, planning and bring structure and clarity to make things more effective. I am so thankful for everything God has done for me and through me and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for the future!
