Ed and Beth Brye currently serve in the international offices at Dallas, Texas. — Ed is the program coordinator for Strategic Initiatives for Wycliffe Bible Translators. He is on a team with two others who focus on vision casting with YWAM, whose founder’s stated hope is to start oral Bible translation in 1000 Bibleless/unreached language groups by the end of 2025. — Beth works on a team with the Ethnologue, SIL’s comprehensive annotation and mapping of the world’s more than 7000 languages, which is a source often consulted by mission agencies. — The Bryes have significant experience in task assessment, having surveyed 45 Bible-less language groups. Through their department, some type of field research was carried out in 84 of the 280 languages of the sub-Saharan African country of Cameroon.
