Know god, and make him known into the nations.
This is Emma & Christiaan’s main “home” missions page. Here you can see what were are doing, and discover the calling, and vision on our hearts. We believe God is doing something BIG, and we felt called to be apart of what HE is doing in the nations.
We are stationed in Northern Ireland, a land with a history of division, and conflict staining it’s past. We are apart of a ministry that focuses on teaching about peace, and reconciliation, specifically in lands that are conflict areas, or post conflict areas. Some nations that we focus on- our ‘focus nations’ are: Burundi/Rwanda, Lebanon, South Africa, Isreal/palastine, Albania and Bosnia, among others. We believe that all people are made in Gods image, our neighbors, our friends and even our enemies. We believe God has lots of healing, and beauty to paint across the nations of the world, and we want to be apart of His kingdom come here on earth.
Our role is planning and leading a school here at YWAM Rostrevor, it is run for 6 months, divided into two parts. This school is a Discipleship Training School (DTS). The first is a learning phase- the lecture phase. The students learn things about who God is, they grow their personal relationship with Him, we teach reconciliation and peace building, and practical prep for missions as a lifestyle, and a life calling. (Know God)The second part of the school is the practical application of all that was learned and experienced on the first part of the school- the outreach phase. We bring the students to one of our focus nations, where they can share, and teach and make God known. They also learn, and experience a new culture, and people. Every team, and person who comes to a focus nation carrying this heart of Christ is adding to a deep well of prayer, healing and love that God is pouring into these broken places.
Compassion asks us to go where it hurts, to enter into places of pain, to share in brokenness, pain, confusion and anguish.

All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.
