Bringing Christ’s Love to the People of Japan

Kelly and I will be serving with the Yamagata Higashi Baptist Church of Yamagata Prefecture. For our first term, Kelly will be teaching English through the church, and I will be focusing on language acquisition, learning the needs of the Japanese church, and finding ways to support our missionary friends in the Tohoku area.

Yamagata Higashi Baptist Church is one of the oldest churches in Yamagata. We are happy to partner with them and be a part of growing His church in Japan. Yamagata is in northeastern Japan, known for its skiing, hot spring baths, and cherries. Yamagata is a rural area, and few missionaries venture to this area.

As we prepare to go to the field, there will be many initial moving expenses. We pray that God will guide you to join in partnership with us to fulfill His great commission. We cannot engage in cross-cultural ministry alone, and your prayers and donations support us and bless us.
