My name is Mr. Heaven Thawng Tha Bik, and I’m on a heartfelt mission to transform lives through education and faith in Myanmar and Thailand. As a devoted teacher and missionary at Chiang Rai International Christian School (CRICS) in Thailand, I’ve witnessed firsthand the profound impact education coupled with the love of Christ can have on young hearts and minds, and their families.
At CRICS,I firmly believe that education goes beyond the walls of the classroom. It is not just about textbooks and grades; it’s about empowering future generations to serve and lead with compassion and conviction. With my own two amazing children, Samuel and Grace, I understand the importance of nurturing and guiding young souls towards a brighter future.
In September 2023, my wife and I embarked on a bold venture by launching a daycare in Mae Sai, Thailand. Our vision was clear: to extend a helping hand to our local community while providing for our own family. Through the grace of God, we’ve welcomed five precious students into our daycare. Our prayer is to welcome ten by the end of this year. On Saturdays, our little space bursts with around 15 eager learners (age 5 to 12), most of whom come from families yet to know the love of Christ. Our fervent prayer is to introduce these young hearts to Jesus, igniting a flame of faith that will illuminate their lives forever.
But our dreams don’t end there. We envision a future where every child, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to quality education and the hope found in Christ. That’s why we’re dreaming big – of establishing a boarding school for Burmese refugees, a safe haven where children can flourish academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
However, we can’t achieve this vision alone. We need your support, your prayers, and your generosity to make it a reality. Together, we can be the catalysts for change, the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching out to the forgotten and the marginalized, and offering them a glimpse of hope and a future filled with promise.
