My Mission:
My mission is to affirm, nurture, and restore God’s value to broken people. My heart is for discipleship, I love seeing God’s redemption power working in people’s lives and hearts. As a full time missionary, I am love being able to disciple while also receiving discipleship and additional training that may be needed in various organizations.
The Vision:
As of January 2023 I moved to Curitiba in Parana Brazil working with Discipleship Training Schools, learning more Portuguese, and learning even more of their culture. The eventual vision and dream for this is to begin a coffeeshop that combines Brazil and American coffee(because if you were not already aware, Brazilians LOVE America AND Coffee), using this coffee shop to then be a part of the funding and building of a multi-layered ministry for children in risk, including a counseling center, and would even love to have a place where other missionaries could come and receive rest, counseling, and process their time in the field. MY heart is that this would be a glimpse of what Kingdom Family and Kingdom culture looks like. I have had the opportunity to continue building relationships with people in Brazil while also receiving additional training while at YWAM Tyler. I am excited to be able to build more relationships in Brazil while continuing the relationships I have in the USA now! The Call:
In high school I remember being at a youth camp and someone telling me I had a call to missions. I was terrified and did not believe that. I put that as far away in memory as I could. After some pretty huge events in 2018, I felt God leading me to a training school in East Texas at a Youth With A Mission(YWAM) organization. So in April of 2019, I took a 5 month leave of absence from my full time job, which might I add was UNHEARD of, and began what I thought would end up being “only” a 5 month process learn how to go deeper in my walk with the Lord. HOWEVER, God had a VERY different plan per usual.. Through this 5 month process God began speaking to me about my call to work in Brazil full time, eventually with street children and I was dreaming and planning the things He placed on my heart. I completed a Multicultural Discipleship School(MDTS) April – August 2019, DTS is a 3 month lecture phase and 2 month of an outreach/practical phase. My outreach was to a Brazilian community in Georgia for two weeks and then I spent 5 weeks in Southern France. At the end of my outreach God spoke to me about going back to complete the Multicultural School of Evangelism(MSOE) with YWAM Tyler. So I said yes, although terrified. I completed my MSOE in February of 2020, knowing I was called to go back on staff with YWAM Tyler to receive additional discipleship. But first I felt I needed to do a three month Bible school called, Discipleship Bible School(DBS) at YWAM Ozarks in Arkansas. To have a better foundation of the Word of God and how to study the Bible better so that I could better at discipling with a biblical foundation(this is becoming more and more important in today’s world, am I right?). I went on staff with YWAM Tyler in September of 2020. In January of 2021 I went on a “scouting trip” to Brazil for six weeks, to learn more of the language, culture, tour some places I was interested in doing a few more schools within YWAM, and even having opportunities to do some ministry with locals projects. I ended up being on staff with YWAM Tyler for two years, however in April of 2022 I began to feel God was asking me to take a step of faith towards the vision and dreams He had been leading me in for the past three years. You see throughout my MDTS, MSOE, DBS, and staffing time at YWAM Tyler God kept speaking and giving me a heart for Brazil and began giving more vision and dreams of one day moving. So January 2023, I moved to Brazil! I am currently staffing with YWAM(JOCUM) in Brazil in a city called Curitiba. One step at a time, as I take steps of obedience in what Abba is calling me to..
