ABOUT MYSELF

My name is Kennedy Omondi, and I was born in Homa Bay County, Kenya in April 1988. I was one of fourteen children, and I lost seven of my brothers and sisters at a young age from disease and malnutrition. In 2000, I too fell ill and by 2002 wasn’t expected to survive. A pastor visited me in late 2002, he prayed with me and led me to Christ. I survived and later, while in good health, received an opportunity to go to the university, but it soon fell through. In 2011 at the age of 23, I devoted myself to serving the Lord and went to a nearby local church and became a youth pastor for two years. In 2014, I married my wife Lencer and God has now blessed us with three children: Sally Blessings (9), Saline Esther (8), and Kelly Darby (2). During this time, I was having house fellowships, farming, and preaching.

By God’s grace we (my wife and children) migrated to another county (Kisumu) where we started a church gathering in 2019. We are doing evangelism on the streets, working with the homeless, street children, orphans, and widows.

I am currently  a student at Grace School of Theology working towards a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. Despite many struggles and challenges, I will soon be finishing up my degree.

OUR MISSION AND VISION

Our church (Creekside Hilltop Bible Church) is aimed at ensuring that vulnerable children in the community and region get access to food, clean water, spiritual nourishment, and basic education to enable them to attain good health, learn sound doctrine and realize academic dreams.

At Creekside Hilltop Bible Church, we preach the gospel to all people, visit and pray for the sick in the hospitals; we evangelize door to door, do street evangelism, youth conferences and seminars. We appeal against crude African cultures. Some examples are; forced and early marriages, female mutilation, male chauvinism, and gender violence.

We take in orphans, street children, and the homeless. Currently we shelter, feed, clothe, and take care of 13 orphaned children. We are trusting God will provide us with an orphanage and rehabilitation center to allow us to help and host more children.

I urge and appreciate any donations you could give to assist us in realizing our mission objectives. We are counting on the kindness of people like you. Donate now, so we can give people good health, be free from hunger, have a basic education, evangelize, eradicate crude culture, provide good shelter, and clean water to all in our care. No amount is too little to help us achieve our mission. Remember the smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention.
